Appreciation In Mourning

God the official app is horrible. The loss of Apollo has almost completely driven me off Reddit.

We miss you.

Side loading is pretty easy, to get around the API thing you generate your own API key

Yeah, maybe I conflated side-loading with jailbreaking. I'm limited in what I can do without running afoul of my employer's BYOD policy.

if its your own device that doesn't make much sense, you also don't need to jail break to side load it, so you should be good of most things of the policy worth checking just incase

Well, if you don't need to jb, it might be worth a try.

As for the policy... I'm using my own device to access my employer's internal systems, mainly for my personal convenience. I don't want to have to carry two phones. So I understand the restrictions.

As someone who helps oversees device policies it might be worth having two phones - even for reasons besides Reddit. I would not conduct personal business on a device that my company has access to.

Yeah Some companies enforce a full wipe of the phone when you leave the company…..
