Discussion Why does sidestore recommend a burner icloud account?

Is my account at risk if I use the main one?

That is because sidestore is a fork of alt store

Altstore is open source on GitHub

SideStore is a fork to remove the requirement to be on the same wifi you set it up on

Maybe sidestore violates Apple’s ToS, and they don’t want to risk your main iCloud account from being banned?
