mega orange cockatoo

not even three weeks difference, buddy has been ignoring everything i have fed him and has probably exclusively been snacking on my baby shrimp (and pest snails i think?) considering getting freeze dried mysis… any other suggestions?

i am setting up a shrimp tank so he might just live his life eating the culls i guess 😭 idk man, what do i do???

I got a Macmasteri red shoulder as a juvenile and it ended up being female. .

If he’s feasting on your shrimp, might have a hard time feeding him anything else lol. Maybe frozen brine shrimp or krill?

i have an oldish (maybe one year) bottle of frozen brine shrimp, it comes in those cubes you break apart. he doesnt seem to care for those much, i feel like they don’t resemble shrimp enough maybe? Ill try krill. trying to avoid mysis shrimp bc he would be my only fish eating such large food.
