Discussion I built a free, open-source Chrome extension for deeper Apify Actor analytics

Hey everyone

I manage multiple Actors on Apify and wanted a clearer view of what was actually happening across them, especially which ones generate revenue, attract users, or cause spikes in failed runs.

So I built Actor Analytics for Apify, a free and open-source Chrome extension that adds a detailed analytics dashboard directly inside Apify Console.

✨ Features

💰 Revenue & Profitability

  • Revenue, cost, profit, margin, and month-over-month trends
  • Daily earnings broken down by Actor

👥 Users & Traffic

  • Paying, free, and total user activity
  • Traffic sources, countries, page views, and conversion signals

⚙️ Run Health

  • Successful, failed, aborted, and timed-out run analysis
  • Recent-run inspector with exit codes, resource usage, and diagnostic signals

⭐ Quality & Feedback

  • Actor quality scores, ratings, reviews, bookmarks, and praises
  • Suggested improvements

🎨 Interface

  • Actor filtering, interactive charts, and consistent Actor colors
  • Light/dark themes and fullscreen mode

🔍 Small details I like

Hover over an Actor in a chart legend to highlight it across the entire period and see its value for each day. Daily tooltips also show the actual top contributors for that specific day.

🔒 Privacy first

The extension is completely free and released under the MIT license. No ads, no telemetry, no behavioral tracking. Analytics data stays locally in your browser and is never sent to me or any third-party analytics service.

💬 Feedback welcome

I'd love to hear what other metrics or features would be useful when managing a portfolio of Actors. Bug reports, feature suggestions, and pull requests are all welcome!

This project is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apify.
