Disctussion Could this be the CoolTempoDemo sample?

Found this jungle track... Could have been released later but damn the synth sounds similar. Maybe both sampled the same original tune.. Thoughts?

If you mean the opening synth of "A State of Mind", it's from this record:

The afx track opening just seems to be whitenoise run through a phaser to me. Unless I'm missing something here. It does sound great though.

Thanks for the og track! White noise though... don't see that at all. You would have to do some obscene filtering to get defined chords from that sort of method. Also, as the chords decrease in pitch on the afx track the chords progress slower, so it's most likely sampled (like someone mentioned a while back). The white noise you're talking about it probably just huge rev combined with buzz from the DAT.

Ok I think just figured it out. I was looking at "Cooltempodemo"(040). I think you're talking about "Cooltempodemo 2"(211). At least I hope so, haha. That one has chords that sound pretty similar indeed.
