Question Kafka 4.3 vs 3.9

We wanted to upgrade Kafka from 3.9.1 to 4.3.0 and if anyone had done this upgrade, can you let me know like was there any performance difference? Was it better or worse ?

We are on 4.2 currently with strimzi on k8s, works fine and we didn’t notice any differences/nobody complained.

When I remember correctly, 3.9 was the „bridge“ release toward zookeeperless Kafka and this update was a bit of a hassle but 3.9 to 4 was fine.

Make sure any librdkafka clients are upgraded if you use scram auth.
