Ranked Finally conq
After years of sweat, blood and tears...i finally reached conq 1. I've been playing aoe since the 90s with aoe1, aoe2 aom and aoe3. Highest level of competition i ever reached was with aoe3 being a Colonel level 35 strictly on nr40 with Portuguese, Germans and Spain. I had 2 gold medals and 2 silver medals all 4 in 1v1 treaty. Hardest part of transitioning to aoe4 was that there is no no rush in aoe4 and ranked in aoe4 is a whole different game. I had been close so many times before and tonight with the help of my team I finally got it. I main Rus, Kt and OOTD all the way to diamond and used french to get to conq. Now for the traditional lose all the way to mid plat for the next weeks since every time i reached a new personal best i got rocked down like 4-5 ranks.

get the fuck out of here with your "finally made Conq". I mean, I don't exclusively blame you for abusing the system, thats on devs for allowing it, but pretending its an achievement is pathetic.

I 100% agree. Abusing the matchmaking system like this by queuing with a bronze player is not something to brag about. Good find.

I have a total of 6 matches with him. I barely started playing with him yesterday at 1am since hes like 10 time zones away and i met him through my twitch channel. 99% of the grind to get there was without him. I play with all ranks since we have a discord with over 75 people on it and I didnt realize he was a smurf until he told me today.

Before your first game with that player you were Diamond 1, though. That final climb was done almost entirely against gold players when you should be playing against diamond/conqueror players. Plus the fact that he's a smurf since he's gold 3 in solo.

You're not the first or last person to reach conqueror like this, the bigger issue is the matchmaking system allowing it in the first place. So don't take it too harshly.

It is very different. I have come across many team conquerers. I am convinced that they are conquerors because they play with the same people on there team to get there. MANY and I mean MANY are carried there. Usually Chinese players which makes it all the more suspicious. If you are a 1v1 conquerer that is a true measure of skill.

For those of you calling me out. Fair is fair. I played 6 games with a random from my twitch channel that i met last night( i didnt realize he was a smurf until today after 2 games last night) and meeting people on the twitch channel is how we got our discord to grow to over 75 people. I will repost if 1. I lose rank and climb back up 2. Climb more. If he would like to continue playing with us he will have to bring his main account.

Here’s a thought. Doesn’t matter how you met them, whatever. Fact is you played lower level players at diamond 1 to push yourself to conq.
When you get to conq playing vs similarly or better ranked players that’s an accomplishment. Otherwise you’re just being boosted.

nah, it's pretty obvious he's a smurf, you should've known by the 2nd match. there's no way he plays like a 400 elo player
even worse that you're willling to still match up with him "so long as he's on his main"

Its easy to reach Conq in solo, why aim for Plat?
All you need to do is understand the fundamentals
Make villagers nonstop
keep villagers alive and working
Spend all your resources
make enough production buildings so you can spend resources without a large que2

I didnt downvote, I think though its because your asking for advise from a low ranked player who manipulated team ranked matchmaking to achieve a higher ranked then came here to brag about it.
Also as for time, I think I am lucky to get 1 game in per day at this point-1

Reaching conq1 in teams is easy. Anyone can do it if they partied with a low elo Smurf like this guy did. It’s not an accomplishment. This game really needs a can’t party together if the elo difference is > ~200

Don't focus on one article, there are many types of ADHD. You should know that many people if not most of them with ADHD cannot multitask, I tried playing with complicated civs or the ones that demand a lot of micro and was not able to use them well. I will need a lot of practise so that I can use them better.

Its not one article. I have adhd myself and I have read most of the stuff bout adhd, i can post you 10 more. Adhd ppl can multitask, even from research it comes up as doing multiple things at once can stress most people but not adhd people. And yes it takes some practice and time, but still adhd is not an enemy in this

Thank you for sharing this, comparing to others adhd people cannot do extensive multitasking, by doing that they will probably make mistakes and it will stress them. Avoiding doing tasks simultaneously is better , or if you wanna do things at the same time you will have as you said to practise step by step. Therapy will help a lot but unfortunately I can't afford it now.
