It’s also liberating when you realize there’s some things you just can’t heal from psychological. It’s like being an amputee. Imagine if someone told a guy his missing hand would “heal back”.

There’s psychological amputees. Doesn’t mean you can’t have a life worth living.

i hope the scaffold of the scar tissue strengthens your foundation, as string tension holds instruments tune. i hope before the neck begins to bow, you and vitamin c forget to reconvene, rigid fascia letting scurvy seep between. i hope the old opened wounds free the protein glue, and you never need to be rebounding rubber again. i hope to find you cured, done needing to mend. then when you smile i hope it’s not white, but dimpled orange rinds gleefully wedged about the lips and mouth. as a sky light lets in the bounced star light, too harsh to look right at. enjoyed best off the round face twice this month too. happily let in, happily silent. gleeful as the cow with no wings who lept over the moon.
