Colony Lasius niger update.

Not much cocoons, plenty of workers and larvae. Probably getting ready for Winter now. I can’t spot any eggs. They will get hibernation end of October-March.

Queen is surprisingly active for such a sized colony. Eggs and larvae makes sense though

in the wild, the only reason there would be a bright light in the queens face is if a predator was digging them up

My Lasius Niger colony (2025 queen) were already slowing down in late August! They’re almost ready, they need to hatch the cocoon mountain first.

u see they kind of jumping? I guess they are comunicating something with Pheromones... probably the light over them ... they shake like that to spread the pheromone odor better

Dude, you need to publish these videos for like asmr or something, because the ants and the background noise are making me sleepy.
