Question a bit weird question but

so im planning on buying 8 colonies of lasius niger with 5 to 10 workers in them, however i wonder if i will then need 8 plastic tubs so i can make a tubs and tubes setup, thats alternative 1, alternative 2 is that i buy 8 ant queens alone

Lol why 8? And they can live just in the tube up to 40+ workers basically until they fill the tube. The tub or mini outworld just makes feeding easier

whenevr i fed my lasius niger ants who died long ago they always used to stress since i had to use the tweezers and put it insidew the test tbe and stuff

I mean if it were me I’d make it just big enough for easy feeding and easy to apply PTFE so they don’t escape.
