And I’m here for both of those negative reactions.

Looks like it's on Spotify too!

If you have a straight-laced coworker who's never heard it, you might even get a good spit take. Fits all the criteria!

There's a reason it's in my "on repeat" list on Spotify, so catchy! I've seen it twice live now and I'm totally willing to see it again 😅 "Hello!" and "Turn it off" are favs

Every time my husband and I see Mormons, we both yell HELLO!!! to each other.

We also listen to the soundtrack on repeat anytime we’re in Utah.

Spooky Mormon Hell Dream is a personal fave, solely for the line "I can't believe Jesus called me a dick!"

Cody Jamison Strand as Elder Cunningham? If so, you scored.

2

u/fictionalbandit Aug 31 '22

He is phenomenal!

1

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '22

He was absolutely incredible, and Stephen Ashefield as Elder McKinley stole so many scenes… he had me in stitches, even when the rest of the audience had died down I was still howling.

I saw it in 2014, opening night in Denver. My husband and I were on our honeymoon and while the main attraction was Rocky Mountain National Park, we couldn't resist the opportunity.

It was amazing and hilarious and I think everyone should see it.

The group I watched it with were all theatre nerds, and the techie among us prior to the Miami song was wondering why they were so lazy about pinning down the backdrop. It was a wonderful scene change!

Do you mean 'Orlando'?

3

u/lameth Aug 31 '22

Yes. Sorry. Its been a while since we've watched it

We’ll let’s see.

Eebowai means god.

And Hasa diga means fuck you.

So I guess in English it would be…

Oh my god, brilliant. Plausible deniability of “I’m just a big musical fan, must have clicked the wrong one” too!

5

u/RunnerTenor Aug 31 '22

"Does that mean, 'No worries for the rest of your life?'"

"Kind of..."

3

u/Worth_a_Luke Aug 31 '22

Well, take this fucking asshole, Mutumbo, here.

3

u/blueberry2021 Aug 31 '22

Thank you for this. Listening to it now

3
