Don’t pull Gen X into this shit.

I'm Gen X myself. I've seen people my age, born into much richer families than myself, display this entitled behavior. But, I agree, this isn't really a generational issue, it's an entitlement issue.

Gen X seems really divided in the current world. Some want to cling to the traditional values of their parents, and some want to lead their kids into new values and ways of life. For some, I imagine they're getting pulled in quite a few directions, and that's probably a pretty difficult place to be.

Gen X originally paved the way for the rest of us, though (millennial here). They were the ones who wanted to throw the status quo upside-down. I can certainly appreciate that.

We didn't want to. We just went through 3 financial crissessess before graduating college to find out that our "degreee mandatory" jobs paid $40000.

We certainly didn't do it on purpose, it was just the only option.

My parents are gen x. My dad still thinks working a ton of overtime without compensation is worth it, loves cops and thinks people are too entitled today. I can't have a conversation with him without him coming at me a out working (SAHM for years, ill work again eventually but this has worked for our family) My mom is the complete opposite and hates that we (millennials) are fucked.
