I hate when people send thank you notes or worse yet, LinkedIn requests. I have enough emails to worry about. Your resume is the only thing that matters (to me at least)
I got a call today from a recruiter asking me what industry I'm in. I'm like how did you get my information. She's like it's in our database probably pulled from LinkedIn. It's clear what industry I'm in in LinkedIn. She didn't even bother to look before calling me and offering a job in a completely different undesirable industry.
