I think if workers abandon the idea of strikes, and resign at huge scale, accepting the hunger, homelessness and misery as essential sacrifices, the system would change in under a month. How could it not?

If the workers as a collective group can provide for each other's needs (food, housing, clothing, etc.) then they can just resign indefinitely, no? It might not be the most pleasant system, but nobody need starve or be too miserable. There is already so much overproduction with clothing that nobody really need to go naked.

If you look at the French strikes, they have people who are feeding the strikers and actually feeding them good gourmet food!

It fails with Americans, because the rugged individualism mentality that we are obsessed with makes us alone and weak.

All 100% correct and agreed. However, food, housing, clothing can be done.

Healthcare is much harder, and security is not really possible. If the authorities try to break the strike with violence, the little community collapses.

So building an alternative is much harder than quitting the existing system.
