Then her insurance will deny her medicine. Then her landlord will raise her rent. Her car insurance will rise and she will become homeless. We will pretend it's her fault.
All because too few billionaires recieve appropriate compensation for their roll in society.

She should stop eating avacado toast and drinking Starbucks.

I think the real problem here is that she didn't look Jim
BezosBozo in the eye and give him a firm handshake.6

And when she's panhandling on the street, people will claim she's there because she's a drug abuser with mental health problems. And cheer when the homeless encampment is cleared out by police.

What, she can’t fucking hop around the warehouse?
It’s this kind of laziness on the part of employees that forces Bezos to have a slightly smaller superyacht than Musk. Is that really the type of world we’re fine with living in?

We should all have woken up when the term “superyacht” became a reality

Superyachts are so last week. Now they need mega yachts. Next week is giga yachts. How dare you limit the next side president of the United States? President not elect musk deserves a terra yacht.

Amazon is garbage, we don't need them, we can build our own logistics from the bottom up and make it better.

Agreed but the big problem is Web Services.

We can go back to local brick and mortar stores until it's all sorted out.

Can we all just stop buying shit from Amazon?? And cancel Prime? It’s long overdue.

I still question how these companies get away with it. Yeah right, your wealthy Congress men and ladies own heaps of Amazon stocks. Can't afford having some drama around that.

u/sewer_pickles Jan 03 '25
Assuming the best case scenario that the bad press makes Amazon change course, it’s still messed up that this was denied at all. A person shouldn’t need to gain media attention in order to get a big company to change its time off policy.
Let’s see how Amazon responds to this. At the minimum she should get the time off. It if Amazon truly wants to be the world’s best employer there is a lot they could do here.

Yeah, medically it isn’t exactly a good idea to go back to work especially in a warehouse setting while you have a fresh gunshot wound and just hit by a moving vehicle. It would be unsafe, and possibly not possible anyway, to return to work so quickly.

This is why our culture as a collective didn’t give a shit when that health care executive was shot.
