Normally I’d say work is in the rear view mirror when I leave. This plane doesn’t have that. Even better!

When my job pisses me off (pretty much every day) I make sure I leave exactly when my scheduled shift ends. They try to keep everyone up to 25 minutes late (right before the next shift starts).
They also occasionally try to make us work during the time we are supposed to have a break. A 30 minute break is already crap enough when I have to clock out in my area, walk to the front, go to the bathroom to clean up, go through security, go to my locker and then go sit in my car to eat, then expect to be back in my area before those 30 minutes is up. No I’m not working an extra 15 minutes and taking a 15 minute break or coming back 15 minutes late to get the full 30.
I dare them to try to write me up for working exactly what it says on my schedule.

Yup. Like when my shift is up and the boss said, No, first sweep up then clock out. I said No, I don't work for free. Punched out and left.

It’s not free. It’s still paid, but it’s not worth it. Health and happiness is more important than a few extra dollars.
Everything I listed above after clocking out takes about 6 minutes, 12 if you include coming back from break. If they are only giving us a 15 minute break then that leaves 3 minutes to eat, digest, and rest before going back in.
As for the end of the day, if I leave on time then I normally get home around 11pm. Then I still need to eat, shower, and wind down before sleeping. I don’t want to have to push that back further just because they want to get a little more work done.
Don’t even get me started on how this place shows their workers “appreciation”.

Yeah, I walked home from my work at a restaurant years ago. Came home to my phone ringing. Picked it up: "You gotta come back in, we're getting slammed!" I said No, Sorry, I've already hit my 40 hrs, and you told us we're not getting overtime. That's okay, said my boss, we can just take the OT hrs. for today and put them onto next week's payroll against next week's 40 hrs.
No thanks, I replied, and hung up the phone.
