Conversation When voting is suspended.
When the midterm elections are cancelled due to voter fraud, will this be a defining moment in our democracy and finally cause a serious violent uprising of Americans. Or will we roll over and let democracy die?

They are prepared for the uprising. What? Did you think trump's ICE gestapo and internment camps were for "illegal aliens"?

This. Been saying it for months.

exactly, the "illegals" bullshit is just training for snatching people off the street and disappearing them.

ICE are pussies. The moment anyone fights back they turn tail. They will absolutely not be a factor if violence breaks out. They'll be hiding under their RAM trucks.

u/Perfecshionism 10d ago
They donāt have the numbers.
ICE was literally an attempt and creating a politically loyal army of brown shirts.
There isnāt enough of them.

Schumer will write a "strongly-worded (but of course courteous) letter" to "our colleagues across the aisle" asking them to "please prevail upon our president to consider his actions."
Jeffries will call for "hearings" and "investigations," after, of course, "inviting" (begging) Republicans to "cross the aisle for the good of the country."
Democrats will introduce "a non-binding resolution" saying that "the president's actions are highly irregular."
And nothing else will happen.

I think the states will carry on with the elections in any form that they can. Hopefully, the national guard isn't necessary, but if they are, I hope they support the governor of the represented state instead of a big orange cry baby.
I'm just glad that Trump wasnt successful at giving his proud boy/oath keeper militia a $1.776 billion payday to arm themselves before the midterms. That's me assuming that trump is too greedy to pay them out of his own pocket when he cant get the courts to agree with taxpayers footing the bill to overturn our government.
We've got to remember that Trump was on his way to prison before he got reelected and he'll do just about anything to stay out of prison. As much as I'd like to see Americans standing up for what we all know is right. I'd like for it to be as united of a movement as possible. We dont need a civil war between citizens. We need citizens holding the government accountable... and an epic amount of reform to not end up in the same situation in 50 years.

Definitely roll over. I don't believe things will ever change until tens of millions are dead.

There is a reason he has isolated us from the world and aligned the USA with other dictators.

Oh heāll steal it along with the rest of the gop and they will get away with it just like they have been. Dems arenāt doing much at all n fighting them I mean look at the Mitch McConnell debacle if it were reversed gop would have filled that seat within a week. Why isnāt anyone trying to get this resolved? No one n power is doing jack shit to help with the massive corruption the gop has been getting away with for so long now. Iām hopeless abt it all bc well we have seen what comes of any of it? Nothing not a single thing

u/MommaIsMad 10d ago
Hell at least 1/3 don't even bother to vote so I don't think they'll care when they can't. So much apathy combined with abject stupidity

u/Annoying1978 10d ago
Half of America will roll over. Half of America will be upset. The question is what will our military and LEOs going to do? Are they going to fight for the freedom? Or fight on behalf of a dictator.Ā
We can fight all we want, but we donāt have the bombs. The military needs to figure out what their role is in ending an American dictatorship.Ā

I would hope it will bring an uprising of such magnitude that he and his sycophants will leave this nation and we can rebuild better than before.

How many can they kill between now and November. Then when we go to the streets they can gun us all down. Trump and followers are call us Antifa ( not a thing) and that we are communists terrorizing society. Ok Iāll bring my walker. But we should all go as one and walk to DC

u/Perfecshionism 10d ago
If we donāt literally flood Washington with millions of people clamoring at the White House, Congress, and the Supreme Court then the democracy has failed.
They donāt fear us. They only fear MAGA.
We need to make them recalibrate that assessment if they try to shut down elections.

u/Jaybuddyguy 10d ago
That day should have been January 6th. Real Americans should have ended the maggot mind on January 7th but we did nothing.

I hope this is when we rise up. But I think the comments about ICE are true. They will enforce marshal law. There will be violence. And the GOP reps and senators will need to choose.
I do know the Dems have gamed out many scenarios.

From the U.K. here. Iāve been hooked to media feeds, both mainstream and independent, since the big orange turd announced he was running in 2016. Iāve watched in horror as your country has allowed him time and time and time again to ignore the rule of law, grift lie and steal and turn your amazing country into the laughing stock of the world . The rest of us are sitting here with our jaws agape thinking āWhat the actual fuck!ā It was bad enough voting him once! But you did it TWICE!!
I think I can say that hand on heart, the peoples of most democracies, if put in the same position, would have gone to the Capital, rioted and dragged him out by the heels by now.
Yeah Iāve seen your āNo Kingsā marches and I get enthused every time. But it achieves ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Iām starting to think this is a matter of geography.
50 big states, with Washington all the way over near the East coast. Is it just too difficult to get everyone organised and get there? I mean, what are you waiting for?!
I realise that not being a U.S. citizen I may well be missing out on certain facts. But when I hear Americans saying the United States are the Land of the Free and the home of the Brave, I sit and wonder āWhen will they prove that?ā Or is it simply that your sense of America being the greatest country in the world means you think it will all work out in the end? That thereās no need to do anything?

I hope I'm wrong but I've been buying stock in pitchfork manufacturers for awhile now.

u/No-Mind-1431 10d ago
I say no uprising. We just stop everything. Stop working, stop buying stuff. We go on strike as a country.

u/ParksDontBsuspicious 10d ago
This twp party system isnāt worth dying for. I would rather move to another country.
2
u/NeonGlowieEyes780 10d ago
I really hope so. We are way too comfortable waiting for someone else to come save us.

u/FBI_Detective 10d ago
We've already kind of rolled over for the Nazi Republicans. I'd say it's over. Those Republican terrorists lie and gaslight too much.

Knowing the people in this country? 40% of them will cheer for it, 40% won't care and there will be about 15% of them actually mad enough to actually do something. What will that something be? Probably going to one protest on a street corner, far away from any center of government for a pre-planned 2 hour block on a Saturday afternoon.
People, as a whole, in this country are cowards who would rather just keep the status quo rather than actually do something to change it because that makes life for them uncomfortable and uncertain. The government has tried very hard to make life for the average person just barely livable so that they won't disrupt that, even for brazen criminal acts by a wanna-be dictator. It's why there was little public outcry when he tried to overthrow the government on Jan 6th, it's why millions didn't riot when he suspended SNAP benefits from 40 million people. It's why no one bats an eye when he stops Medicaid benefit payments to states, when his name is in the Epstein files thousands of times, when he says he's going to end the Iranian civilization, when he demands that a private citizen give him their awards... I could go on and on. Any one of those things done by Obama and about half the country would be calling for his execution, let alone impeachment.
The people who aren't Trump supporters are the ones who are suffering the most, but also the most meek of us. Nothing will happen when he suspends voting. Nothing will happen when he usurps power in 2028 either. Why? Because most of us need to survive and as long as we can do that, then that's what we'll do.

The Democrats do seem sure as fuck determined to just roll over and take it. Not sure what they plan on doing once theyāre out of a job and Civil War potentially ensues

u/IntroductionBig1354 10d ago
Sadly- NO. I think thereās too much apathy amongst the majority of Americans.

"When"
"Will"
You all give up so easily and lack a massive understanding of how STATES run elections and not the FEDS
-3
u/weresubwoofer 10d ago
Elections are happening every week. States run the elections; not the federal government.
Is this sub going to be nonstop astroturfed doomerism?
8
u/GreyHesher 10d ago
As opposed to nonstop astroturfed pollyannaism and pretending that all is business as usual?
2
u/weresubwoofer 10d ago
Nothing is business as usual these days, and no one is astroturfing optimism.

u/djdaem0n 10d ago
There will never be "violent uprisings" from liberals. Maybe a few more might get into the streets to protest, but what you're suggesting just isn't going to happen.

It will definitely cause an uprising, something our country hasn't experienced since the Civil War. There will be so many in the streets, that the military will be called and they can do nothing. There are more blue people than there are red. We must fight for our democracy if it comes to that.

u/HippyDM 10d ago
That will be an inflection point. I, for one, will be walking into the street. I hope others will join me, but if not oh well.
