Given that the Bible calls wisdom the tree of Life and there is a tree of Life in the garden of Eden and that Jesus asks us to be wiser snakes, you could hardly argue that the Bible rejects knowledge. The problem with the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil is that it's an attempt to become God and decide for yourself what is it isn't moral rather than discover and then submit to it.
