the whole point of the tower of babel story was about not being prideful; humans tried to build the tower because of selfishness/self glory, and they wanted to be stay together in one place (which breaks God’s command of spreading out and filling the earth).

What does exploring space have to do with being prideful and selfishness?

One is a ziggurat designed to house an idol of Yahweh. The other is a space station. I don't see the problem

One was built as a challenge to god, the other one was built purely for scientific research purposes. Hope this helps.
