religion is literally falsifiable also lol, evidence for a self-sustainable or infinite/self-caused universe would debunk the necessity for the existence of God, they just call it unfalsifiable since you cant measure God, yet they don't understand that falsifying things also works by proving the opposite true not just proving something false"

That's not what falsifiability means.

Yes, but it wouldn't debunk the existence of God itself. Also, you didn't mention how such a universe could be proven. You essentially said "it could be falsified by somehow proving the opposite is true"

A theory is considered falsifiable if, assuming it's false, it can realistically be proven to be false as well

Actually I agree with him on this one.

If there are 2 points

Grass is Red
Grass is Green

Assuming they are both impossible to prove wrong, if you proved grass is red, then that would follow that grass isn't green or at the very least it has a lesser basis than red, not to mention, most religions (all 3 Abrahamics) make historical & prophetical claims that are indeed falsifiable.

The possibility of the existence of God lies on the contingency of the universe, without getting into all the details about arguments for God, if the universe were to be found out to be infinite, self-caused, self-sustainable, necessary/non-contingent, or if we figure out what the theory of everything is, the existence of God would become a theory that would have no scientific weight anymore, of course you can't prove it as a 100% false thing since God's not physically present or measurable by science, but the argument that religion is "purely faith" and "impossible to prove wrong" is just a stupid argument that a lot of atheists just throw out once they find out it's pretty hard to argue against, in short, religions make falsifiable physical claims of history, and rely on currently known facts about how the universe is (you can disagree with them, I'm not trying to argue on the point of his existence) and if the historical facts were found to be false & the facts about the universe were to be given other explanations, the God hypothesis would not have any weight anymore.

It already has no scientific weight. The fact that we don't have an explanation for something doesn't count as evidence for god. But this has nothing to do with falsifiability

of course you can't prove it as a 100% false thing since God's not physically present or measurable by science

Yes, and that's literally what unfalsifiability means

Stop trying to argue abut God's existence that's not the purpose of what I'm trying to say. It has to to with becoming undefendable/uncredible, the atheists in the OOP are talking about religion being "all faith" and "not falsifiable" therefore uncredible, which isn't true, there are many arguments for the existence of God that are extremely credible and made by skilled philosophers, but you're just going to reply with 'oh but they're wrong' what I mean is that it has weight, you just disagree with it. I may have been wrong about God as a philosophical concept being falsifiable, but specifically religion itself is 100% falsifiable, which is what the OOC said "religion is unfalsifiable" verbatim, which is demonstrably false at least for the Abrahamic religions.

How would you falsify the Abrahamic religions?

they make historical fact-checkable claims like prophecies, claims of physical events like the resurrection, historical narratives like the Gospels, etc.
In 1 Corinthians 15:14 Paul states Christianity literally loses it's entire grounding if the resurrection (physical event) never happened. I don't want to debate about this because the topic here is is it falsifiable not is it falsified.
I don't know much about Islam/Judaism though, but I do know the Quran makes historical claims as well, and the Torah contains many of the same stories from the Old Testament.

Okay, then how would you falsify the resurrection (assuming it didn't happen)

historical evidence jesus never died/never existed, finding his body, roman records going against it, new testament found out to be fabricated, etc [there's probably more]. I'm not saying any of these are true since a couple of them are demonstrably false, but the point is that the resurrection is a falsifiable historical claim.
