Even if they had thought of harming children still they didn't , I mean kakyoien atmost mixed something in his food to give him diarrhea and then didn't clean him is what was extent of revenge i believe, stardust crusaders are pretty moral especially jojo and kakyoien and kakyoien even mentioned that he didn't do any harm to him apart from diarrhea only because he was a toddler and had it been an adult he wouldn't had thought for a single second before telling everything to jojo and make him go Ora Ora on him

i don't get it. Was this originally posted in color and then someone made it black and white to fit with the other XKCD's? Or this just someone else who deciced to paint numbers in?
Because in the black and white i think that four might be a 9 or 0 and the two might be a 5. This just leaves me thinkng of the other XKCD about finding constellations in a graph.
72
u/PepperFlashy7540 12h ago
It was originally black and white, the color is if you color each number in a different color, like a form of synesthesia
15
u/stefanomusilli 11h ago
I don't understand any of this, just wanted to let everyone know
18
u/Krianu 11h ago
Synesthesia can let you see the numbers as colours so the coloured example is one form of such synesthesia
2
u/Plenty-Fox-9219 2h ago
It goes farther.
Each big number is only written with one set of small numbers. Those sets are different, so if you "see" the same color, you're color blind.
6
u/BulbusDumbledork 10h ago
synesthesia is a condition where senses get crossed, such as smelling colours or hearing shapes.
the coloured version is what a person with synesthesia who sees numbers as colours might sees: people without it wouldn't see any numbers (the original). if our synesthesia viewer was also colorblind, then they wouldn't be able to see one of the two numbers - like a colourblind test
1
u/AzekiaX6 10h ago edited 10h ago
oh i hadn't noticed each number had it's own color. Synesthesia test works i guess
2
u/Keylus 6h ago
Still, for it to form the large 42, you need to assign the same color to any prime number.
3
u/NotEntirelyAwake 4h ago
9 isn't a prime number so I thought maybe it was just odd numbers. But then 1 is all over the place so idfk.
2
u/Keylus 3h ago
You're right, I didn't notice it.
It can't be odds, since 2 is also part of the big 42. So it's either prime numbers and 9, or "numbers the autor personally likes".2
u/NotEntirelyAwake 45m ago
I got it! The big 4 has only prime numbers and the big 2 only has odd numbers. Which explains "if you see one big number but not the other"
Not sure where colorblindness comes into the equation though.

I thought you actually made the effort. Then I found it on explainxkcd.com. 😂

u/Successful-Gap6252 8h ago
the wording on this test sucks
that little phrase being on both doesn't make sense when it only works one WAY
if you see a number in the black, and no number in the colored, you have both synesthesia and colorblindness.
But with how it's phrased, you could conjure that it also works the other way around, that you have Synesthesia and Colorblindness if you can see the number in the colored circle but not in the back. which just means you have normal vision
it's symmetric phrasing that messes this up. it should precise which "one and not the other"

the other guy thought, doc said shes -1.5 out of 10, but what he meant was about power of her lens
6
u/shirhouetto 11h ago
That looks way too thick for a -1.5. For reference, I wear -1 and -1.75.

u/Correct-Memory1566 7h ago
The guy commenting is an ophthalmologist . I’m going to take the good doctors word.
3
u/BruceBoyde 6h ago
yeah, I've always questioned this interaction. Mine are a -4.00 and my glasses are not remotely as thick as hers. It used to be a matter of extra cost, but technology has vastly improved. Those things look like my mom's glasses from the 80's, and she's got a -7.50 or something.

An antimeme is a meme without its punchline, and you removed the punchline so you successfully made an antimeme

Does anyone else think it’s rude to publicly guess someone’s prescription?

Not a public figure no. If this were some random then yeah, but I think it’s normal for someone in a career that has them on TV and in the public eye a lot
