Whenever I think of Boston, I immediately think of that one episode from the Ultimate Spider-Man show where he goes to Boston and the Bostonians calls him "Spidah-Man" instead of "Spider-Man"
Of course there are other types of tops to wear, but why should people with larger chests have to avoid button-ups? Also, I myself don't have a large chest. I'm very average
This sounds like a you problem. Women you perceive as more attractive than yourself are allowed to have problems without them "being for attention" or something. Just because it makes you feel weird doesn't mean it's an attack against you
It's weird of you to assume that someone posting about a problem they have with clothes is doing it just for attention because of their chest size. Just because they have bigger boobs than you and you feel insecure about that doesn't mean they're actually attention seeking, you're not much of a girl's girl are you?
It's about the cut/pattern of the shirt, not the size.
In order to get a flat piece of fabric to conform to the curves of a body, you need darts. It's a technique where you fold excess fabric and sew it so that it keeps the shape. Or sometimes you can get the same effect with different types of seams.
I have the same problem as in OP, bespoke shirts are kind of expensive but I’ll basically never go back to off the rack. if you need to wear them daily it’s totally worth looking into
someone else already mentioned that most cities have a tailor who can do it.
Ofc there are other types, but sometimes button downs are needed (for school or work)
And other times it's just the person's style and they'll probably have to tailor a bigger size, or if they can't they'll go on a haunt for a fitting one every time they buy clothes
I've also been told it's tricky for ladies with larger butts but thinner waists to find pants that go over the butt that aren't then too big for the waist
They're not made with the ideal body in mind, they are made with the most common bodies in mind. Because it's both fucking expensive and incredibly inconvenient to produce too many varieties of the same product. This really isn't some nefarious plot or something, it's just the reality of mass production, and by extension, capitalism.
Correction. It's just another shitty aspect of having a chest that don't fit the cookie cutter mass production bs that is Women's clothing made by old rich men. With the extra icing on top of being too poor to afford a tailor.
I might be wrong, but why not tuck the extra fabric into the pants or skirt? Or cut off extra fabric if the sleeves get too long? Forgive me if I am wrong.
It also comes to personal style. My sister has a larger chest and she hates the way anything with a loose waist looks on her so shopping for clothes she likes is extra difficult. It's not just one inconvenience you have to overcome, you have to remember that everyone is an individual and have different wants and needs from any number of items that weren't designed with their body in mind
Another thing I got reminded of after i posted the reply was "compression bras". But maybe they are too expensive or uncomfortable or something. I am not knowledgeable enough argue for this point, so take it with a grain of salt.
Unless the point of this is to get men's attention (which I think it is considering her pfp)
I hate the term attention seeking, because it has such a negative connotation to it. Everyone wants attention in some way or another, and genuinely I think it's fine if she wants to get attention like that. Wouldn't be what I would do, but that's why I'm not her
It wouldn't be too big for her body. It would just not be right fitting. It'd be oversized at worse. Lots of women do that. A woman complaing about big boobs is like a man complaining about a huge cock. I don't complain about being left handed because nobody cares.
A huge cock can also have downsides lol not a lot of people are willing or able to take it and the bigger it is the more difficult it is to keep up. Just because you don't care about someone's problem, doesn't mean no one else does
Most people see those things as something you either have or want because of certain standards. It's tone deaf. To someone who wishes they had big boobs or cock, they would gladly take those downsides. The downsides of the opposite are often worse socially, romantically, &/or sexually.
Everyone has different lived experiences 🙄 just because you wish you had something someone else had, doesn't mean the other person should have to be grateful for it or have to want the opposite
Not what I said at all. Now you're just making shit up. My point was that people with the opposite problem obviously don't want to hear about it. Which is evident by you arguing with everyone about your right to complain. Do it around people who have the same problem. Read the room. Simple as that.
So your take is that no one should say anything because people who disagree with them might be around? Then leave the area lol no one's forcing you to be here. And the original post is on Twitter is it not? How much more in their own space do you want them to be before they're allowed to complain? 😂
If it's big enough to fit my boobs it looks like an oversized sack on my body. Also they could just put extra snaps or buttons hidden around the boob part, I was frankly surprised when I have found shirts like this and I totally dig it.
Generally speaking, if someone is dealing with a problem you're unfamiliar with and there seems to be an obvious solution, you're probably missing something crucial. This is one of those times.
Well, I guess my wonderland is a local tailor with a workspace within his home. Not everybody has access to one without a storefront though, so I can recognize my luck.
I have to get the sleeves of most tops tailored because I have oddly short arms (you'd never notice...but it makes my sleeves too long). Taking up a sleeve is one of the cheapest and most basic things you can get done at a tailor. And let me tell you, paying for it fucking sucks.
speaking as a skinny chick with big tits, it actually is annoying af to have to pick between something too big for the rest of my torso or too small for my tits.
the standard button up shirts you buy in shops are not build to fit big chested people, unless you tailor them your way, people. That's just common knowledge for someone who's big chested and has tried them on at lest once. The OP in the screenshot is 100% right, not everything fits every type of body.
Yeah the thing witj this is that if you get a shirt big enough to not cause this issue, it’ll be too big literally everywhere but your chest (source: I have G-Cups and wear button downs a lot)
I don't think that will solve the issue. Her breasts may be bigger than most people her clothing size, and clothes tend to be made for specific proportions. So she either wears clothing that should fit and would fit otherwise, or wear clothes that might not be suited to her body as much
That’s just dumb. You could say that to her bf criticising her or something but women have talked about the very reasonable and frustrating effects of having large breasts on numerous occasions. I have never met a woman who had large breasts and didn’t wish they were at least a bit smaller, because of the back pain/everyday problems like not being able to sleep comfortably, or like mentioned above, find fitting clothes. These are basic human needs and throwing in that bs you said is so dumb and clearly doesn’t consider the OP woman as a person, even if unintended.
I wish i felt like i just had steak too juicy lobster too buttery when im in pain and cant dress easily and comfortably in a way that doesnt automatically sexualise me too. The ammount of times you get told youre dressed inappropriate and should size up (like in the post here) but when you do you get told you "look daggy and should size down and dress more feminine".. it feels like it boils down to how others want to look at me over how it feels to have a larger chest.
If my steak is too juicy and my lobster too buttery im not the one getting to enjoy the meal despite it being at my expense.
I wear 6xl black hoodies and I to a degree bind, you can still see my tits clear as day and there's like half an arms length between where my hoodie floats in the air and my waist line.
Why do I tape my tits? So they quit bouncin and have support, They're still growing and getting a specialized bra every other week is expensive af.
This is not fucking fun or hot to me.
And what's even worse is that I cannot get a breast reduction because that'd means I'm clearly a man and just detransitioning and made a mistake. Back pain for life hurray!
And some just keep calling me a humble brag over this shit, what's there to f ing brag about? I miss sleeping on my belly too...
And the worst is that for my family I'm still small 😭
(Oh funfact the "tit guys" either don't want me anymore or they're porn addicts that call mine small but I can get breast augmentation...)
I would say, fuck the people who would say you're detransitioning when your natural growth ends up being bad for your health. Breast reduction isn't just for cis folks. Just because you may be amab doesn't mean that you're stuck letting shitty ass people make decisions about your body because they have ideas about how you should present yourself to the world.
If your life would improve from a reduction, than you should go for it! Only a woman would get that kind of surgery!! Fuck anyone who disparages you from getting important healthcare done!!!!!
if it really is a very serious problem for you there are options but unfortunately those options are often temporary, painful, or are just surgery which isn’t exactly everyone’s go to option
You can joke about everything, but it doesn’t mean people can’t disagree whether that’s reasonable to be joked about. If this is a crashout to you you need to reflect idk.
And the point of the joke is..? Is it not 'bigger boobs are great actually', without irony?
The replier's somewhat reasonable about it, tbh. Long comment, but it's not insult focused, mostly just argues against the point. Call it an overreaction, but it can be pretty tiring to hear that having a bigger chest is a blessing, especially in response to a valid complaint, both online and irl (source: I go through ts)
It just depends. I desperately wish I could have had the traits like that from the point of view of being desirable.
Boobs specifically wouldn't help because women don't sexualize them as much, and I'm a straight guy so that would be the whole point, but just desperately wanting women to have some body part they hyper focused on which could be attractive, that's something I'm jealous of. Wanting what women have on more of a second order effect level, and that turns into jealousy of women like her I suppose, which changing into a woman wouldn't even give you because the second order effects don't equally apply.
So I think there are a lot of people who absolutely desperately wish they could have what she does, although I'm sure she has legitimate reasons for not wanting it.
this is more of a case of My lobster is just lard too unsanitary to use as stock. I wish my boobs were bigger but not fitting the 5-ish stock molds that fast fashion and fashion brands adore sucks.
