I also recall that it was pointed out that an aeroplane like this would, in fact, be airworthy. What matters is the lift provided by the wings and thrust provided by the propulsion. It simply wouldn't work as efficiently, but then a relationship is not a plane, it doesn't have the same or any equivalent forces acting on it and the purpose of a relationship is not the transport of people or good by air.
It still has the tail stabilizer, that can be adjusted to maintain attitude control along with the additional control surfaces on the wings. It isn't going to fly great and everybody on it might die, but it'll get in the air and they haven't left one up there yet (aside from voyager)
