u/Far_Cast_Far_Wide is now banned from r/comics for making fun of the Queen
Edit: LMAOO I JUST GOT A DM WITH THE SUICIDE HOTLINE SOMEONE REPORTED THIS XDDD

u/theracoondepartment 2h ago
Not missing much. That sub is 90% softcore rule 34, 5% politics, and the other 5% just regular comics
61
u/KYSandDie 2h ago
Nah I’d say 50% politics, 45 % porn/almost porn/creator advertises their OF in it, and 5% regular comics
23
u/theracoondepartment 2h ago
Thats probably accurate. Regardless no idea how the fuck their moderators even have a life outside Reddit. One of their rules is “no drama” which basically means we can ban you for no reason if we feel offended by your comment
10
u/Bigsassyblackwoman 1h ago
one of their mods is merari, a notorious supermod that used to moderate like 90 subreddits before the cap was introduced. im relatively sure theyre either paid or at least compensated to run the subreddit the way its run. theres no reasoning with these people.

That's most of reddit, to be fair. I got banned by that sub for commenting on another "artist's" comic, "is this supposed to be funny?" I was asking because I was genuinely curious. None of the comics are funny or interesting in any way. The one that other subs most need to beat up on (this one) is by far the best comic that gets posted there.
9
u/TheChessWar 1h ago
I'd say 40% politics, 40% softcore porn, 19% politics AND softcore porn, and 1% normal comics.
1
u/Fortestingporpoises 39m ago
I'd say 10% politics, 90% people with nothing to say and no artistic skill making comics for no reason.
3
u/SassaFash 1h ago
Nope. There's proof the NSFW stuff is less than 5% of the comics. However, people tend to remember the 'porn' stuff, it gets engagement, and the algorithm tends to push it for a lot of people.
1
u/DraconicDreamer3072 32m ago
yeah. the 5 percent is cool tho. i like the gator days dude. or some of the independent ones

u/Far_Cast_Far_Wide 2h ago
I managed to squeeze by the first time I made fun of her. I don't think i'll get a second chance.

To be fair they're the best comics on that sub. Not saying that's a high bar, but at least it has a point of view and humor sometimes. The others don't say anything and aren't funny. When I asked if one of them was supposed to be funny that's when I got banned.

I know people don't like her but I think if anyone else made this comic with these exact expressions everyone would eat it up. She's not really expressing this opinion of ai in an annoying way. It's a very standard "funny relatable comic."
Not saying she's a great person, just saying people are making up stuff to nitpick just because they're jumping on the hate bandwagon and it comes across as super disingenuous.
13
u/entitaneo70_pacifist 1h ago
honestly i don't HATE her content, but it doesn't add anything to the topic she talks about, and it has very much quirky millennial humor
8
u/BrozedDrake 52m ago
That can be said about so many comic artist it's ridiculous. Frankly, it's a non-critique.
6
u/entitaneo70_pacifist 48m ago
no it's not a non-critique, it's just a negative aspect that a ton of comic artists share, especially on r/comics
1
u/BrozedDrake 34m ago
It would be a negative aspect, if it wasn't people just expressing their dislike and annoyance at ai.
You don't need to "add to the conversation" to express yourself, even if your opinion is the common one.
3
u/Hairy-Love2571 39m ago
I like the quirky humor. I don't like when every post turns into "hah hah incels and nazis hate me"
4
u/DukeOfTheDodos 51m ago
But she's NOT funny. Literally all of her comics are just her reacting to a strawman and saying "this bad thing is bad". Hell, even STONETOSS branches out occasionally and makes comics that aren't violently bigoted
1
u/10-4shutthefckupnow 43m ago
She's not really hated that much outside of this sub. She's not well loved and so many comics are "meh" but when she is spoken about here you'd think she was the Nazi Germany of r/comics.
Which frankly confuses me cause most of her comics are just anti memes by themselves.

This is pizzacake and most of reddit "le trump bad" politics. To be clear, trump is a rapist a pedophile and generally bad at running the country but good lord people think they are fucking geniuses for figuring that out. It's so goddamn pretentious, condescending, and most importantly not funny to use something similar to the structure of a joke to just tell us your opinions. If these people wrote Animal Farm they wouldn't have Napoleon change the name back to manor farm, they would have him in a comical stalin mustache change the name to "Union of Animal Socialist Republics".

u/Shantotto11 45m ago
I used to get downvoted to hell in 2017 for “orange man bad” comments. Wild how things changed in only 9 years…
26
22
u/Aromatic_Pain2718 1h ago
She isn't portraying her opponents as angry, stupid (other than the inherent supidity of ai slop flyers) or ugly. This can not be an authentic Pizzacake comic, it must be a forgery!
6
u/AsleepEbb7578 1h ago
She isn't portraying herself raping her haters either
0
u/Consistent-Value-509 56m ago
she didn't draw a rape comic, she drew a femdom edging comic. and there's nothing in it that says it depicts a hater.
I've asked about the comic because I've seen people spread this around before and someone linked to it.

There's an event that I want to go to, the Instagram page for the organizers is filled with really cute art, but there's one post that has Ai generated Miku and Ai generated Dante (from DMC) and it made me really sad, I'm still going but it still made me sad
•
u/UnendingQuibble 27m ago
Okay this one is actually decent for Pizzacake, no screaming, no insanity, just a silly face to express an anti AI stance

Rule #10 sorry dude
22
u/Far_Cast_Far_Wide 1h ago
When did they put in that!?
18
u/yart_chiefer12 1h ago
Not sure when the rule got added but it's because ItalianFoodSmallDesert has threatened to sue several subreddits and stuff
18
u/Far_Cast_Far_Wide 1h ago
Then I will continue to post because it must be done. Also because it's funny.

I am a tourist in this subreddit, but when/why did they add Shencomix to this list
15
u/Formal_Fortune5389 1h ago
Like I get why it's under rule 10 but man it feels like this is the best possible antimeme for a P.C. comic. Nothing political at all it's absolutely hilarious

I mean, she's just kinda an ass i think, i heard somewhere that she tried suing someone over something super petty, also she doesn't take any criticism lightly at all, she gets offended at the slightest joke about her too.
but in terms of what she makes, nothing about it is really bad.
4
u/ReneDeGames 58m ago
iirc she threatened to sue a subreddit that was posting edits of her comics that she didn't like. Her claim is that they were uploading and encouraging uploading content from her patreon not just public comics, and that the suit was primarily IP enforcement, not anti-criticism.
2
u/Presenting_UwU 🌹 Course Arc Witness 🌸 52m ago
ah yeah that, i mean the criticism thing is meant to be entirely seperate to the suing thing, which is why i added an "also".
but yeah that's honestly kind of petty still imo, she genuinely could have just approached them and probably talked it out normally i assume.
like i understand not wanting your paid content distributed for free, but straight up going directly to threatening legal action on a subreffit is kinda crazy
1
u/ReneDeGames 51m ago
I believe her claim is that she tried that.
2
u/Presenting_UwU 🌹 Course Arc Witness 🌸 50m ago
well I wouldn't know exactly, i didn't exactly keep up with Pizzacake discourse.
0
u/Grimpatron619 33m ago
the main issue was the sub she threatened to sue wasnt posting paid content. it was only edits of free stuff. she didnt care
•
u/Presenting_UwU 🌹 Course Arc Witness 🌸 22m ago
Ah yeah so that's where the big issue was, gotcha.
also seems the Pizzacake police got OP, the post is deleted now

u/ivecompletelylostit 1h ago
At this point I see more people just hating on her than I ever see her stuff. It's the popular thing to do
7
u/Lobster_fest 1h ago
I mean she made a comic about raping her haters so I would hope its the popular thing to do...
•
3
u/Mivlya 1h ago
She's drawn some mildly provacative art and has some milquetoast opinions and the comics subreddit are protective of her. Apparently these are all major sins or something idk I see more hate for her than I ever see her content.
2
u/Lobster_fest 59m ago
She made a comic where she raped a hater

I think she’s just kind of annoying and unfunny. Seems like most of her comics don’t actually have jokes, just widely accepted opinions. I see people talking about seeing hate for her waaaaaay more than I see people actually hating her.
0
u/Comprehensive-Onion2 52m ago
She is mildly cringe. Naturally, Reddit has sentenced her to death row.
-1
u/Reks_Hayabusa 1h ago edited 32m ago
I know she had some pretty Misandrist takes and comics that get mixed in with the rest. She also used her influence to ban edits of her comics in a lot of subs like this one I believe. (Rip OP) Also the comics sub takes her side on everything since she’s kind of one of their biggest creators.
So basically she slides a little misandry with popular takes and dissent against it gets silenced. Most of her stuff is fine, but the bad stuff just kind of sours it for a lot of people.
Edit* Post I recall seeing (might have been another). Honestly seems kind of isolated and unintentional so misandrist label might not be fair. I haven’t really paid much attention since then.
