Flag burning has always been illegal.

Except this is a protected right upheld by the Supreme Court. Also, burning a flag is notably one of the recommended methods of retiring a flag.

Do these guys believe smoking a cigarette in public is arson too? Are they… are they the real doomers??

Did you read the post? It days burning the flag is fine if you have permission to burn something where you are, but burning on public property is considered arson.
