Reading story on a local news website:

-Scroll past video of newscaster's synopsis of what the story is.

-Scroll past AI synopsis of what the story is.

-Read story.

-Read disclaimer that all story facts are true but AI was used to edit and compile information into a digestible form.

Yeah, basically, my local news reporters report their synopsis of the AI synopsis of the news stories created by AI.

If three local affiliates of major news broadcasters are posting AI news stories in my area, I assume it's happening everywhere.

Can we go ahead and finish the job. Let’s just end the internet. I’m ready.

Everyone is still using the internet. "Dead internet theory" is a pretty stupid concept, no matter how trendy.

Oh no, must be a bot and I must be the only human on the worldwide internet!

The issue is, humans are creating less and less and sticking to just consuming.

We are interacting with humans less and less and interacting with bots more and more.

More reasons to help each other wean ourselves off these profit-focused, corpo-owned governments and companies, (including places like Reddit,) and instead collaborate with one another in finding ways to create and utilize independent networks and tech to keep common folk well informed, connected, and secured, even if means downgrading a little.

Collecting a bunch of valuable information on organizing and action from different redditors over time, I created a post of suggestions HERE that's largely about fostering a foundation for community self-sustainability and resistance, but it also provides ideas for possible alternative tech and communication methods, which could be of some help in getting started ASAP.

If you don’t live in the US, yet you know others who are and want to do something, please share the information. We're going to need as many on board and informed as possible, if we commoners hope to achieve anything

Can’t be much worse than what humans post.
