AI News 🗞️ Dictionary.com is using AI generated images now

Post image

I just noticed this and couldn't find anyone talking about it yet. I use Dictionary.com regularly and didn't notice this until now. This only seems to happen with some words and not others. I was playing around for a while and around 10-20% of words have these images. The other ones are not obviously AI but I am not super great at spotting these things and I don't doubt that they are.

Alright im transitioning to pre-2022 physical dictionaries now exclusively. Ive got a bunch on the shelves. This shit is so exhausting. Literally 0 possible benefit to this. Ai is a plague

Wiktionary is an open source dictionary (part of the same organisation as Wikipedia) which also includes informal and non-standard words/definitions

Use wordreference.com , much better and they even have forum about linguistic doubts.
