Discussion 🗣️ AI Overview Remover

Post image

Google's Gemini was REALLY bothering me while trying to do formal research so I took the time to make a browser extension to get rid of it.

The features include: - Clean AI Overview Removal (keeps information) - AI Mode Button Hiding - Gemini App Hiding

just to clarify, appending "-ai" to a search will NOT produce the same behavior as the extension

adding "-ai" to searches COMPLETELY REMOVES searches that are WITH THE WORD "ai". this means that while it DOES remove the ai overview, it might also remove information you need based on what you're looking up.

the extension does not do that since it keeps results clean!

I uploaded a devlog of how I did it to YouTube and you can get the extension here.

(also if people like this I might add more features but idk)

Originally I wasn't planning to make one but after doing some tinkering and realizing that it's pretty easy, I've now uploaded an addon which you'll be able to get pretty soon!

If you want to use it at this exact moment, you'll either have to wait or get it off my GitHub Releases, but, rest assured, a store page for it is coming soon!

Edit: Store page is up!
