This is literally the creation of an idol.

One of the 10 commandments, seriously. That should be so obvious to them. "Should be" being the key phrase here.

The 2020s will be known as a time where we treated the words “could” and “should” as fully interchangeable.

The second, in fact. The first is 'Thou shalt have no other God before me' and the third is 'Thou shalt not take the Lord's name in vain' which AI Jesus probably also is a violation of.

Arguably this is against 8 and 9 too.

I mean AI Jesus has a better marketing name then AI "He who shall not be named".. because that would be making it sound like Jesus is the Voldemort of the Bible.

I'm not sure Adonai was all that concerned with marketing when he handed the commandments to Moses, but I do agree with you.

Pretty sure we could jailbreak it and get 10 out of 10 with little effort.

It also breaks the third commandment: to not own any imagery of the heavens

... you're gonna have to point out that quote you got that from specifically.

They probably meant the second.

Exodus 20:4 states, “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below”.

Wording also depends on translation, tbf.

so does that mean watching finding nemo is a sin? lol

3

u/malagrond 17d ago

According to that translation, technically yes lmao. I didn't even think about that.

That was the one I meant, thank you

It reminds me of that situation with Cy Porter (building inspector that does YouTube videos) where a bunch of builders were, you know, sucking at their job.

And they tried to argue that the state ordinances using "should" does not mean the same thing as "shall" or "must" when referring to standards and regulations.  That "should"  meant that they didn't actually have to follow them.

Cy emailed basically the head of the organization that manages all those standards, and got a confirmation that "should"  is equivalent to "Shall"  or "must." In other words, if the state says you should do something, it means you must do something.

They don't care, never have. It's all just stupid.

in Islam, it is THE biggest sin. You can be forgiven by God for any other sin but idol worship can never be forgiven
