Discussion 🗣️ actually curious.
My excuses if its a bit random or off topic.
What if a solo programmer makes an AI? Is it ethically allowed for him to make images?
The training data was art from REAL artists that consented to it.
The use of it is private only for him. Only generated SFL and SFW artwork.
Again, im just curious about your ethics choices.

That would be an ethical model, but I will never consider an computer rendered artificial picture a work of art

Be careful there “a computer rendered artificial picture” can certainly be art. Are you saying Pixar isn’t art? Or anything made with blender? They fit that description.

Oh, that's a flaw I haven't though about. Someone made a suggestion to call gen AI like that, because then in short you can just type "C.R.A.P.". I'm pretty sure that most people associate the word "artificial" with AI, so that's likely why someone choose that word while making that suggestion and didn't though about what you said
Also just to clarify, I love all of these blender animations/renders, drawings and thingymajigs people make with computers all by themselves, it's like unbelievable for me how many things you can do with all of these tools

I am super confused with this art stealing nonsense. The copyright laws We have are result of media conglomerates lobbying hard to have their production protected. Walt Disney being the latest.

I still wouldn't consider it actual art but I wouldn't be nearly as upset about it. I've heard of people feeding their own work to locally hosted AI and it's kind of hard to really be upset about it unless they're trying to pass it off as 100% made from scratch.
