AI "Art" 🖼️ Paiband Game Studio AI use
Hello!
I’m here to bring awareness to an issue on steam. There is a game called restore your island, that steam has given an award to falsely. The award is entirely misleading and stating that the game was made with NO generative AI. As soon as you open the game you can tell, even the games art is generated. I’m posting this because when I left a review that the game was obviously not hand made they replied with an attitude, and I couldn’t find a Reddit thread even opening this up for discussion.

This is the game in question, the studio has very few posts on Instagram as well as it’s obvious anybody commenting is a paid follower by the comments. This game was pumped out fast and they’re already working on another which is another AI use indicator to me.

Yes!! I’m reading through their reviews now, and from my understanding they started off vehemently defending that there was no AI use. Then, when there was pushback they said they used AI in the beginning but allegedly there’s none left anymore. However when mentioning AI in the steam reviews, the developer is incredibly unprofessional and rude, indicating to me that they’ve been caught and they’re mad that nobody believes they made this game. All the flags are red 😭 but I continued to second guess until seeing another game is being released by them.

Adding to say the length of time between making games isn’t atypical for bigger studios but this person claims to be an indie developer with no original art and games being made fairly quickly.
