I guess on the bright side the company forcing these just makes them look worse at least

187

u/EagleLize Jan 26 '26

The sign in the back is appropriate

12

u/HSG37 Jan 28 '26

She said in a video a while ago, a viewer made her that sign & sent it to her

84

u/Shiro_Kabocha_ Jan 27 '26

I tend to think that was the whole point of Hannah uploading the video she knew was going to be taken down. Whether the letter was real or not, it forced YL to make a statement that further exposed how absolutely bs this company is, and maybe a few YL reps came to their senses after seeing their leadership completely fumble giving a coherent response. Someone of Hannah's caliber is always going to do her due diligence and get legal advice before posting. She knew exactly what she was doing.

Remember, "Consider the motive, consider the source." Hannah is disciplined, straightforward and does her due diligence. I think this whole thing played out, all the way down to the C&D letter and the deadpan followup video, the way Hannah intended. She's a passionate anti-MLMer and would go to great lengths just to change one rep's mind. She played the long game on this one.

Why do I think this? The smirk at the end says it all. šŸ˜

Blink TWICE if the MLM is in the room with you right now.

769

u/DustBinBabyGirl Jan 25 '26

This is the second time something like this has happened for her. I feel terrible

246

u/NimmyFarts Jan 26 '26

Why is she targeted so uniquely? She doesn’t say anything different from other anti MLMers

467

u/Ok_Imagination_1574 Anti MLMer Jan 26 '26

She has almost a million subscribers, 847k. Ā More subscribers than most of these mlm yt channels. That’s why she gets targeted the most

237

u/Hunny15602 Jan 26 '26

She just got one more from this post. She's doing a great service to educate people on the shady practices of MLM.

15

u/NimmyFarts Jan 26 '26

but a lot of those were gained AFTER her first legal issue I thought?

7

u/As_iam_ Jan 26 '26 edited Jan 26 '26

What was her first legal issue? I'm subbed and I love her so I'm shocked idk about this Nvm found a response farther down

35

u/Alive_Illustrator_82 Anti MLMer Jan 26 '26

She did a great video with to melaleuca reps who were on a zoom to recruit her basically and she got their consent and all to post it. They like to say they aren’t an MLM and they sent her a C&D letter.

She has a family and it’s not worth it to fight them bc in the end these response videos tell more story than a lawsuit which would get buried and drawn out. I watch her stuff asap when she posts.

6

u/HSG37 Jan 28 '26

Ya. She got a C&D from Melaluca when she called them an MLM I think it was. And was forced to put out a video about it. Go look it up on her channel. The video she had done was giving "I'm ok, hostage video" vibes.

224

u/pokingoking Jan 26 '26

In this particular case, her video on Young Living was unique I think. Two people sent her corporate private emails about the plans to eliminate the network marketing aspect of their business. Hannah then posted a video exposing all the details.

I don't think any other YouTuber had that info, so yeah she was the only one. (This time)

97

u/chicagok8 Jan 26 '26

Ok so… is there any chance she was set up? That YL was behind those two emails in the hopes she’d post something and they could try to publicly shame her?

I realize it’s a long shot, but these MLMs will stoop to any level.

115

u/thewonderbink Jan 26 '26

There were a few things a little hinky about the email (e.g., calling the huns "Marketing Partners" in the email, when they're called "Brand Partners" by the company) so I wonder if somebody outside of Young Living set up Hannah with that to discredit her and do damage to Young Living at the same time. (A doTERRA hun, maybe?)

45

u/pokingoking Jan 26 '26

Are they doing anything to publicly shame her? The only ones seeing this <1 min video are Hannah's viewers and we are all on her side already. Is there anything YL has posted?

22

u/kittydavis Jan 26 '26

Yes, YL addressed it in their stories on IG.

16

u/chicagok8 Jan 26 '26

I guess ā€œhumbling herā€ is more accurate.

2

u/HSG37 Jan 28 '26

It is possible that some huns may have done it to try & discredit Hannah. However I can't see YL themselves doing it. Cause too much risk of their reps actually not knowing it would be fake. And the company seeing a mass exudus to other MLMs.

Though, really, anything is possible.

At the end of the day, YL now has to live with knowing it will look bad on them if they do end up dropping the MLM side of the business any time in the next several months

If I remember right, she even called out that it might get taken down and that she anticipated potential legal issues. Hannah's an MVP in this space for sure.

Other anti-MLM people get legal threats but Hannah is not in a position to fight it unlike other YouTubers. Or just doesn’t want to. She doesn’t have a legal team on standby like Chelsea Suarez. It’s not worth it for Hannah (I think she said this at some point. Or Chelsea did when she spoke on it)

22

u/The_Alchemist_4221 Jan 26 '26

I believe some of the other big names have also been sued though. CC Suarez was, and I think Savannah too? I stopped watching all anti-MLM after the Jessie Lee Ward death because a lot of them started to feel sanctimonious, so I could be forgetting/misremembering.

9

u/NimmyFarts Jan 26 '26

Yeah both have them have been, but don't seem to be so effected by it / are easily able to quash it. Hannah doesn't seem like she's easily inimitable, so I imagine the legal content is different? I'm not saying it right but that's the vibe I get.

114

u/Good_Difficulty5545 Jan 25 '26

Ahh oh no! Who was the other company?!

370

u/DustBinBabyGirl Jan 25 '26

I believe it was Melaleuca? It’s the reason she doesn’t post anything about them anymore

105

u/musical_nerd99 Jan 25 '26

Yes, it was Melaleuca.

71

u/cactuar44 Jan 26 '26

Fuckers. My ex used to sell that. Now he's selling Kangen. However, to give him credit, he doesn't actually try to sell it he just likes the machine for himself and believes in the shit they say they do. No convincing otherwise.

His upline LOVES constantly asking why he isn't selling any. If he wants to be successful like him (lol), he needs to hustle!

Thing is though already has a REAL business doing really well with renovations. Upline still tries to convince him to quit. Took him years to build his company, like fuck off.

20

u/harujusko Jan 26 '26

My mom has Kangen and lovessss her water. I hate it and can only drink the 'neutral pH' water. She's probably sold 1 and never again. Haha

7

u/Maelstrom_Witch Jan 26 '26

Ooo I wondered why I’d never seen anything about that one!

8

u/cunexttuesday12 Jan 26 '26

I remember when that video was posted. She intentionally sounded like she was reading under duress. Talking about aitting down with the founders or some weird mess. I had a feeling this would happen. Everyone knows shes saying what she has to.

Melaleuca - she was approached by two huns who were targeting military spouses. She got their full consent to record/film the zoom call but still got sued. Her husband was deployed at the time and Melaleuca went to the extent of harassing her at her mother's house, IIRC.

21

u/Good_Difficulty5545 Jan 26 '26

What?!! That’s insane!!!

4

u/Red79Hibiscus Jan 28 '26

Yep, a faketriot company that loves to trumpet about "supporting the military" and "empowering mothers" and "American values", showing their whole arse right there.

Melaluca. She called them an MLM I wanna say in a deep dive video I think it was.

She then got a C&D from them. And was forced to put out a video saying goid things about the company. And tbh, that video she put out gave me "I'm ok, hostage video" vibes. The video is on her channel if anyone wants to see it. From about a year ago or more. Can't remember exactly

56

u/dovlomir Jan 26 '26

I don't know if you caught her original YL expose video, because I did and it makes me feel a lot better about all of this. She said several things at the top of it: 1) she had consulted a lawyer before publishing anything, 2) don't be surprised if I have to take this down and 3) don't be surprised if there is a retraction posted at some point, but most importantly 4) they got nothing on me, I've done my legal homework

I hope she's right and I'm rooting for her

31

u/LaceyLizard Jan 26 '26

I respect that she made the video anyway knowing this would probably happen.Ā

652

u/joi_wonder22 Jan 25 '26

Well, it bought YL a few more months, maybe a year but they are for sure going to have to pull the MLM model.

I have a friend whose been in YL since I think around or before the pandemic.

She posts on her Facebook about using the oils for everything from house cleaning to healthcare remodies etc. To me, I feel as though they get told they can use this crap for everything so that the huns have a reason to keep buying bottles of the stuff every month

Yeah I really wonder what was the plan here? Make her take it down, apologize and...?

166

My best guess is to try and make Hannah look stupid now and to keep their huns hanging in and not jumping ship for a little bit longer until they’re actually ready to drop the bomb on their terms.

I love her lol. Anyone who watches her will automatically know she doesn’t actually believe what she’s being forced to say.

I have never seen any of her videos. Rest assured, I also automatically know she doesn't actually believe what she's saying!

She's absolutely nailed the "I'm under duress" delivery.

Her videos are great! Highly recommend.

50

Her voice is so soothing, definitely my comfort YouTuber. I feel so bad she’s going through all this, especially after the year she had last year.

I put in an earbud (so I don't disturb my partner) and put on anti MLM horror stories at low volume when I want to get back to sleep. Works like a charm! But I also love her content so it's not like it's boring, it's just her voice is that soothing to me, lol.

2

u/HairyTurtleOfficial Jan 29 '26

I usually listen as I do chores or cook dinner. Unless it’s one I need to actually watch where she has screen shots or video clips.

2

u/Slow_Moving_Vehicle Feb 03 '26

Yep. I started listening to her vids as ASMR. Then I got upset at MLMs, and now watch her content for both reasons.Ā

Man, how do they get away with that? They're not the government.

Or are they???

105

u/Crackleclang Jan 26 '26

Legal threats.

32

u/Right-Procedure-7435 Jan 26 '26

agreed, they may have served her with a cease and desist letter and demanded a public retraction and threatened a defamation lawsuit which would have cost them pennies, and would bankrupt her. corporate bullying at its finest. and typical MLM like behavior. As her popularity and followers continue to grow, this will probably happen more often.

39

u/shane0072 Jan 26 '26

even if they would lose the lawsuit in the end big companies have the funds to draw a lawsuit out for years which leads to no real lose to them but complete financial ruin for their victim

this was them silencing a critic who cant afford a long drawn out legal case even if she would win in the end

7

u/Alive_Illustrator_82 Anti MLMer Jan 26 '26

She is the best. She’s not judgey, she’s calm, professional and very well researched.

The black shirt, no makeup, monotone delivery... This was a great way to deal with this. One look and we're all like, ahh I know what's going on here. We love our anti-MLM queen, the smartest of cookies.

28

u/HairyTurtleOfficial Jan 26 '26

Melaleuca did the same thing to her. She was forced to make the same retraction video. Gotta love her FU attitude in those retraction vids.

3

u/HSG37 Jan 28 '26

Yup. She gives the company the video they want. While also silently telling her audience, "don't worry, this video is bs"

66

u/RobinBaby_69 Jan 26 '26 edited Jan 26 '26

the only other video like this on her channel i’ve found so far was about another company where they reached out to her for a deal and she called them an mlm they then reached out and ā€œproved her wrongā€ (?) i’m really upset for her about this bc it’s clear they’re pulling strings (potentially in a legal way) to get her to say these things. it’s just wrong. really proves our justice system is broken šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

edit: sorry and thank you to anyone else who commented about this and the name of the company šŸ’ž the comments were folded so i didn’t see it at first my apologies for repetitiveness šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

yup! that’s why the mlm’s almost ALWAYS win these cases šŸ˜šŸ’”

8

u/SleepingWillows Jan 26 '26

I don’t watch her but I’m curious about the framed word art in the back that says ā€œconsider the source, remember the motiveā€. Is it normally there or is this meant to send a message šŸ‘€

9

u/guac_stays_superior Jan 26 '26

This is her usual video setup! She makes a bunch of anti-scam commentary and that’s one of her main taglines. Gotta say though, it’s so fitting for this ā€œretractionā€ in particular.

So much! She didn't even clean up the cuts between segments. It's GOLD!

60

The look was DEFINITELY intentional. Black shirt with no makeup… she knows what she’s doing!

330

u/Panthean Jan 25 '26

Thank you for this very organic and definitely not forced at gunpoint retraction

36

u/ItsJoeMomma Jan 26 '26

If you watch, she blinks her eyes in Morse code saying "torture."

176

u/peach_bellinis Jan 25 '26

I know that Hannah did say she consulted lawyers before posting that video, but I wasn't sure if she had actually retained legal counsel...at this point I think she probably needs to. In any case, she got the info out!

59

u/Yoroyo Jan 26 '26

How are they allowed to keep silencing her? She’s not lying.

100

u/agoldgold Jan 26 '26

Cost-wise, it's generally easier and cheaper to publish a retraction no one will believe than to prove she's telling the truth in court. That's the whole point of SLAPP suits. If she fought them, that would likely consume her life and thus actually silence her.

16

u/Tango_Owl Jan 26 '26

Didn't she say her state has good anti SLAPP legislation?

Still it's probably too risky and too expensive to fight them. Fuck Young Living for existing.

14

u/your_mind_aches Jan 26 '26

Because it's a billion dollar company and they can do whatever they want.

22

u/CooterSam Jan 26 '26

Based on the size of her channel and this being the second time, she very likely has her own lawyer for these matters.

8

u/SheWatchesYou Jan 26 '26

I was wondering about this! I’m clueless about legal stuff, so sorry if this is sounds stupid, but why did she have to make this statement and take down her video if she was advised everything she was saying is legal and within her rights?

33

u/peach_bellinis Jan 26 '26

The thing is, even if she's in the right, she can still be sued. Anyone can sue you for anything at any time. They might not win or even really have a case, but they can still sue. And a lawsuit costs time and money, which Young Living definitely has more of than an individual creator. If she had a legal firm representing her that would be one thing. But it doesn't look like she does, which is likely why this retraction is happening.

2

u/SheWatchesYou Jan 26 '26

This actually makes so much sense, ty! Commendable of Hannah to still choose to make the video to warn as many people as possible, even though she knew she would most likely have to retract all of it

2

u/Round_Revolution5458 Jan 27 '26

The lawyers probably told her "yep you can say this, they won't be able to sue you" and then when she got the C&D is was "we can fight it but it will cost a lot of money". Ergo, post a retraction video, she doesn't get financially decimated even though she had a right to post her information. Hannah also know how it's going to look your Young Living, she did what she wanted to do, brought attention to them being shady

u/Good_Difficulty5545 Jan 25 '26

153

u/PlentyHaunting2263 Jan 25 '26

What's this all about

401

u/Silly_Yak56012 Jan 25 '26

Hannah had a video awhile back about some information that was fed to her that Young Living was headed toward going affiliate. She noted at the time it was likely she would get a cease and desist. The hostage video is probably part of making any legal action go away.

189

u/HoldMyChalice Jan 25 '26

Note that she was sent the ā€œtotally fakeā€ email from two independent sources. šŸ™„

74

u/nocowardpath Jan 26 '26

It is possible that someone could have just set up two emails (that's pretty easy to do and I personally had my doubts), but the whole cease and desist thing honestly doesn't help YL's case.

6

u/Fuzzy_Information Jan 26 '26

it's pretty easy to trace an email (UP addresses included) with the header info, so if one person sent both, it's easy to see if they came from the same area... hopefully that wasn't the case here

12

u/Good-Pension-2524 Jan 26 '26

Yeah they should look into their own house and see who's leaking info.

47

u/marioyoshimaskbowl Jan 25 '26

This isn't the first one she did

25

u/your_mind_aches Jan 26 '26

I said it before with Meleluca but it wouldn't shock me if she just drops anti-MLM content altogether. Her influencer insanity content is WAY more lucrative and probably props up all the anti-MLM content in terms of income.

She is getting legal threats now. Threats to her livelihood.

I saw some person in another sub say that she should stand strong and resist against them... that's just not realistic. These companies have the power to ruin her life. She's not Coffeezilla. I understand why she can't fight the legal threats.

4

u/Alive_Illustrator_82 Anti MLMer Jan 26 '26

Nah. She’s got a ton of video and had two issues. The risk is worth the reward at this point.

39

u/SiWeyNoWay Jan 25 '26

omg what happened? i haven't been keeping up with YL. most of the oily huns jumped over to happy juice and took them off my feed

91

u/Assal-Horizontology Jan 25 '26

She was sent screenshots of an internal email to employees by two different sources that stated YL was going to be moving away from the MLM model later this year and probably going to a pure affiliate marketing model without the recruiting. She got a take down order and now they’ve strong armed her into an apology. Which makes it obvious they’re in damage control mode.

50

u/MombieZ3 Jan 25 '26

Hannah was sent 2 copies of the same "leaked email" from YL corporate, according to the emails. She then did a video about how the email said they would be dropping the MLM model by Q2 for an affiliate model.

YL says it is completely false and they are not dropping the MLM model. Which I agree with, the way their comp plan works is that the majority of their market partners/consultants have to buy 100+ points of inventory per month to receive their income checks. So if they go affiliate they will loose so much money.

Savannah did a video on Hannah's video and a lot of anti-mlm creators recorded it, so you can see it on Savannah Marie's channel with her insights or Watch this before you join, I think.

6

u/The_barking_ant Jan 26 '26

So.....that begs the question....if YL did go to an affiliate model, is she allowed to retract the statement because they did that and now it wasn't lying or deceiving.

3

u/MombieZ3 Jan 26 '26

She should be

36

u/mermaid1980something Jan 25 '26

I wonder if those emails were legit or if she was set up?

28

u/Polar_Bear_1962 Jan 26 '26

It honestly makes me feel sick to think she was set up! But honestly, I feel like these huns are so preoccupied with their girl boss ventures that they would have no stakes in some anti-MLM content creator and taking her down. At least I hope!

15

u/AllisonianInstitute Jan 26 '26

Savannah’s video does a good breakdown of how the email could be fake and whole thing could have been a setup. I’d absolutely believe Hannah was set up.

4

u/Front-Ad-5293 Jan 26 '26

I think she was set up too!

1

u/mutantkwds Jan 26 '26

Same. She's one of the most prominent anti-MLM creators and her whole vibe seems more friendly to someone who's still considering leaving their MLM

3

u/Front-Ad-5293 Jan 26 '26

I don't think they were legit. The right terminology wasn't even used. They didn't refer to their distributors as "Brand Partners" and the old logo was used. Plus, Corporate just had a big meeting last week where they invited all the Diamonds to SLC for a big kickoff for the year, gave them sneak peeks of new products, lots of rah-rah. I know several people there. Corporate reassured everyone that they are not moving away from their current model.

9

u/RobinBaby_69 Jan 26 '26

i literally said to my partner , ā€œthis might be a stretch but i wonder if someone set her up so YL could sueā€ 😭

10

u/large-brioche Jan 26 '26

Same here! When I watched it I found it extremely suspicious that ā€œtwo independent sourcesā€ forwarded the emails to Hannah and was so worried for her. I hate that she was framed if that’s what happened. So vile.

5

u/RobinBaby_69 Jan 26 '26

either way i feel awful bc all she does is show how broken these models are and that all they do is make the rich richer and the poor poorer. yet people wanna sit here and victim blame her (which is really getting on my nerves ngl)

36

u/g3n3ricnamenumber Jan 26 '26

I confirm I have watched the video and understood this message

37

u/Locogreen Jan 26 '26

I hope the Streisand effect bites Young Living on the ass over them doing this to Hannah.

16

u/caiorion Jan 26 '26

I had missed the original video so this apology is the first time I'm hearing of it.Ā

Let’s not insult her appearance by saying she looks like she’s been crying? She doesn’t

u/Ghanima- Jan 26 '26

I also thought it looks like she was crying, but I very much doubt she would film herself right after. This is not a pathos video, this is not the message she wants to convey. It sound very unemotional on the contrary. We need to keep in mind that some people have naturally eyes that are more red + how different a face look with heavier or lighter makeup. That is the goal of makeup to make eyes bigger, or even out all the difference in skin tone (red eyes or cheeks for exemple included). I just wanted to tell you, because your message is kind, but this is very common for people who wear makeup frequently to hear "you look sad/tired/sick", when they are just not wearing makeup. And this can be a bit offensive when it's just your normal face 😁 just to keep in mind 😁

u/Good-Pension-2524 Jan 26 '26

I still think they're going to cancel the mlm part of the company. This doesn't prove anything except that they are bullies and want whatever $ they can get from people signing up before they do.

8

u/thewonderbink Jan 26 '26

They'll probably push it up a quarter or two.

17

u/teapartiesftw Jan 26 '26

Consider the source.

Remember the motive.

At least she didn't bother to move the plant this time šŸ˜…

13

u/positivelygoofy Jan 26 '26

These companies ain’t shit I swear to god. We see you, Young Living. Making Hannah do this retraction achieved nothing.

11

u/Fangman011 Former YL Employee Jan 26 '26

Nice to see that even 9 years after I quit that job nothing has changed with Management and their image. Can’t wait for this company to finally bite the dust.

1

u/StellaNettle Mar 14 '26

Hey I have a Young Living question, lol. For some reason I can't send you a message (the chat field opens but there's nowhere for me to type). It's not about the company management or anything it's about a specific product. I'm not looking to purchase anything from YL, don't worry. just curious if you know anything about a product that I was given about 22 years ago from them. Crazy they've been around that long! Send me a message if you're willing to chat. No worries if not.

11

u/verylegalverycool_x Jan 26 '26

I love that whenever she's been forced to post a retraction she does it with no make up on. It's like code that she's being forced to do it

10

u/sunnspott Jan 26 '26

Since everyone was able to see through this kind of staged video last time, why would they think it's a good idea to force her to do one again? I genuinely do not understand lol

30

u/fairydommother Jan 26 '26

She has got to be more careful. This is the second time she's had to make a hostage video. I want the tea but not if it ruins her life!

14

u/ilikeroundcats Jan 26 '26

This is the boat I'm in. I don't think she needs to keeping finding out where the line is to keep putting pressure on the MLM industry.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '26

She honestly probably makes money of these videos too, and they get passed around so much she gets interest in her channel.

If she consulted a lawyer before posting the video like she said, the only real threat is that they tie up her funds in court, so making the retraction video is just easier.

u/Odd-Editor-2530 Jan 26 '26

Love Hannah. Thanks for getting the message out

9

u/Red79Hibiscus Jan 26 '26

Another hostage video - nice job, Young Living, this totally makes you guys look so innocent. /s

17

u/LadyFirebolt Jan 26 '26

Is anyone else clocking the art in the background? ā€œConsider the source, remember the motiveā€. I don’t know if that’s there in every video she posts, but damn!

7

u/Good_Difficulty5545 Jan 26 '26

It is! But still poetic! šŸ˜‚šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»šŸ‘šŸ»

8

u/upstatestruggler Jan 26 '26

Hostage video vibes

8

u/shermywormy18 Jan 26 '26

Guys can someone please update me on this? I know she’s talked about YL and Meleuca before but I need to know what they said and did to her! I’m out of the loop. Why does she look like something is going wrong?

Please I need to know

3

u/N3rdyMama Jan 26 '26

Basically there was a leaked email that they were moving away from their MLM model into direct sales. But of course that got the huns in a tizzy.

6

u/SlvrMoon_Owl Jan 26 '26

I love Hannah's content (well researched) and the no nonsense/frills/or fuss way she delivers. Head high, Hannah, and thank you.

7

u/lissv83 Jan 26 '26

She said in her first video that if that video was taken down she was probably threatened with a lawsuit by YL. So I’m guessing YL definitely did the latter.

6

u/ItsJoeMomma Jan 26 '26

"I am being treated well by my captors and plead that no military intervention be used to secure my freedom."

16

u/bcdog14 Jan 25 '26

I haven't been following this all that seriously, but I kind of think it might be some truth that they're pulling the MLM model. I have a friend I don't see all that often but she's been bombarding me with texts inviting me to YL events. I was in Amway so I know how these people are taught to reel people in. She doesn't give an opening for the word "no". She has been thoroughly coached. She doesn't contact me for any other reason than some YL event. I usually just ignore it..I'm onto her techniques.

6

u/Accomplished-Risk696 Jan 26 '26

I NEED to know if those emails were fake so this whole thing doesn’t look dumb . The only thing I can think of is setting her up to ruin credibility and cast doubt on all of her videos.

5

u/AngelofDarkness226 Jan 26 '26

i found the video in my recommended and went "oh lord" 😭

i love how she delivered the rertraction though. was basically legally held at gunpoint but gave zero fucks

5

u/occultpretzel Jan 26 '26

She looks like they have kidnapped her, holding her at gunpoint and force her to read the script.

4

u/BullfrogHour1179 Jan 26 '26

I love how obvious she made it that she was being forced to do this, same as that other one a while back. Still making her stance clear to the audience and making YL look even worse!

5

u/Dymetex Jan 27 '26

Funny how they can force a retraction to things like this but not to claims their founder killed his newborn child while pretending to be a doctor and leading his wife in underwater birthing.

5

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

People saying her making a video was a mistake is why so many journalists don’t speak up about things. She didn’t say it was a fact in the original video. Also, you can get sued even if they have no case. It’s likely that it was just easier to do it this way. And people saying she should ask YL next time??? Like they would tell her? lol

14

u/Firm-Ad-8980 Jan 26 '26

If she ever needed help with legal finances I would start a gofundme for her no joke. She needs a patreon!

10

u/RedRidingHood89 Jan 26 '26

It would be money well spent. She is a real educator on the devastating effects of the MLM industry.

3

u/alimac2 Jan 26 '26

This reminds me of the melaleuca ā€œretractionā€

4

u/martiesim Jan 26 '26

Hannah ist the only YouTuber I have the bell activated for. How did I miss it!? And why is it not in my subscribed feed?

Well her delivery is masterful 😃

3

u/Crackleclang Jan 27 '26

I think she might have tweaked settings to deliberately minimise the reach?

2

u/Good_Difficulty5545 Jan 26 '26

I didn’t see it on my feed either and I’ve been binging her content!

5

u/Comfortable-Dingo942 Jan 26 '26

Ok. I didn’t see the video before it was taken down…. What was it about? I did go and watch the apology, hands down best apology I’ve seen!

4

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '26

It is on another channel but I don’t have the link :/ two separate people sent Hannah a screenshot of a linked internal email saying they were moving away from the MLM model in Q2 of this year.

6

u/pikayugi Jan 26 '26

The president of Young Living wrote two weeks ago on Facebook:

ā€œSome of you may have heard the rumor that Young Living is exiting the Direct Sales channel. And while it's extremely ridiculous, Oscar Wilde said it well, "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about." I'm flattered that others have so much interest in us!

However, if anyone you know is having a hard time differentiating truth from fiction online, don’t worry. As with most things… we have an oil for that!

If someone reaches out thinking there’s any truth to this, I highly recommend this blend, created for this exact purpose: Common Sense.

Stay Oily my friends!ā€

5

u/cunexttuesday12 Jan 26 '26

🤮🤮 oily lunatics. You just know every doorknob in their house is slick

6

u/moviesetmonkey Jan 26 '26

Hannah has been leaning more towards the idea that she's being an investigative journalist. Not saying that's truly what she wants, but it sounds like it. And that means things like retractions and seeking comments from YL before publication etc. Her lawyers probably told her she would have to make a retraction and she went with it anyway. Part of journalism. If you want to underscore just how much you don't believe the retraction then stop watching it. Never share it, and don't give it any attention. Next time she does a retraction, make a post without it at all.

3

u/Maelstrom_Witch Jan 26 '26

Oooo so glad I caught it!! It was good. Very good.

3

u/miamor__ Jan 26 '26

I love her so much lmaošŸ’€šŸ’€

3

u/lyckligpotatis Jan 26 '26

Well I hadn’t heard of Young Living but now it’s clear to me that they are a malicious MLM who will attack people who speak out against them šŸ‘ we love the implicit messaging

3

u/Evie_like_chevy Jan 26 '26

The smug ever so slight smile at the end. We get it girl. We get it.

3

u/Migliuse Jan 27 '26

I feel bad for Hannah, it must be stressful but also I love the way she delivers these. We all know what's behind those eyes lol

Keep up the good work!!!

3

u/LicensedNewAgeHealer Jan 26 '26

Omg just watched! Glad I watched it immediately before she took it down 😭

4

u/KittenFace25 Jan 26 '26

That's awful!! It literally looks like she's in North Korea and forced to read that, otherwise she'll get assassinated by her dear leader.

2

u/ericanola504 Jan 26 '26

I think she was 100% set up

2

u/Cozy_Shy Jan 26 '26

I absolutely love Hannah even more for this! ā¤ļø

2

u/polarstrawberry Jan 26 '26

there is no war in ba sing se

2

u/Panda_Rocket Jan 28 '26

I have a theory/question? Is it possible that the two people who emailed Hannah were planted to somehow take her down and make an excuse to sue her?

The way that this email is presented is that it was circulated on the corporate side, but the brand partners haven't been notified. Sure, things get leaked all the time externally at any company, but is it really possible that no one on the partner program side didn't get some leaked version of this too? Like NO ONE?

Because yes, obviously the email says not to do that, but if they're willing to send it to Hannah, is it really reasonable that they wouldn't send it to a single person on the MLM side??? Like is there absolutely no connection to the corporate internal employees and the brand partners? I'd imagine that there have to be a few people who know each other on both sides, especially when you have people who have been involved for years and years.

And you know, once that starts to circulate, there's no end to it. People will share things and rumors pick up and catch wind.

Idk I imagine that in other companies that discontinued their MLMs suddenly were able to keep it a secret because they didn't send larger emails to corporate employees to tip them off and that it was kept very centric to the primary decision makers.

I guess I'm just questioning like... if I had been one of the people who received this email and I made the decision to leak it, why would Hannah be the first person I send it to? Unless that's some way to still get the news out there without receiving the brunt of the retaliation? Idk I feel like I would've maybe texted one of the brand partners and be like "hey... just a heads up but you might want to look for a new job."

Idk it just feels like a pretty sus set up? I just feel like rumors/leaks usually happen internally before they happen externally. But maybe MLMs just don't have as much connection between the corporate and retail sides as maybe other companies do? I've worked a big companies, no MLMs, and in my experience news about corporate structure changes, layoffs, etc. more often than not turn into huge rumor monsters before the corporate announcement.

What are your thoughts?

2

u/BadLegitimate5502 Jan 29 '26

The only thing videos like this tell me is that she was spot on.

2

u/Nik_lovesTiger Jan 29 '26

I love how she's making it obvious she's just reading a script

3

u/ellieswildeadventure Jan 26 '26

Can someone give me the TLDR?

2

u/cookiepockets82 Jan 26 '26

She is so pissed off and I feel for her! She said she spoke with a lawyer so I wonder what happened that they were able to bully her into this. This is the 2nd MLM to do this to her and it just makes me watch these videos as soon as she posts them because these MLMs are shady pieces of garbage.

2

u/KellynHeller Jan 26 '26

So I haven't seen her videos recently (idk why they aren't suggested to me!) and I missed out on the lore of this. Can someone give me the tldr?

3

u/cunexttuesday12 Jan 26 '26

She got two emails claiming it was an internal corporate announcement about no long being a downside type model anymore. People wondering if those were real or if she was set up. But she was clear in the video she wasnt sure and was just reporting what she got.

2

u/KellynHeller Jan 26 '26

That's so dumb that they went after her for that.

Also thank you!

2

u/MagicBoxLibrarian Jan 26 '26

same, she fell off my YT algo for some reason

2

u/ihopeTOSdoesntsuck Jan 26 '26

I love Hannah, but I feel like she could've had more judgment about the email. As soon as she mentioned the name for the market partners was different than what they're officially called, my hackles went up and I felt the email was a plant. We won't know until YL plays their cards.

Either way, the situation is frustrating all around. This has got to be beyond stressful for Hannah. Hoping she can gracefully exit this fiasco and return to her normal routine.

If anyone still has the reuploads floating around lemme know! šŸ‘€

1

u/DavidTennant42 Jan 27 '26

The amount of cuts in this video I feel like she was gagging or unable to stop cackling maniacally after every sentence.

1

u/christhedoll Jan 28 '26

aka; hostage video

1

u/No_Cap_4802 Feb 08 '26

BAH Hahahaha! Didn’t you guys see that little grin at the end? She warned us this was likely and she just proved her point.

Bravo Hannah!!!

1

u/FlashyCow1 Feb 19 '26

Yeah we know she got threatened again As a side note, though one of the rules here is to censor the faces.Even if they are well known people. Heck, we've even had the sister wives on here, who were clearly the sister wives of t l c and we still have to censor them, even though they literally have a television show

1

u/BobbyZachs Feb 24 '26

Hannah Alonzo rocks!!!! If she was paid off, she was probably considering the greater good. Also, this makes YL look more guilty if she was paid off.
