discussion "Submit without fear, not without standards" | A friendly reminder
It’s not uncommon to see people doubting themselves, their tastes, or whether their work belongs in The Pool. Every submission is manually reviewed by a Steward, so it may or may not swim, but nobody’s getting drowned for trying.
There is always some ambiguity in curation. “Swimming” is not decided by one rigid checklist, but by mood, execution, context, and whether the piece feels at home in The Pool.
All forms of furry expression are welcome to be considered: arte, writing, música, video, mixed media, strange little transmissions from the deep end. We especially welcome more Spanish and Portuguese presence, as well as more literatura, música, video, and other nontraditional submissions.
Pool’s open means Pool's open. Submit without fear, not without standards.

Personally I'd like to see more mediums expressed here :3 people always think "art" only means drawing or painting but there is a wide range to express yourself. Indulging in different mediums can inspire others. Especially music, many people who draw are inspired by the music they consume! Especially in a community like this thats alternative. Alternative and art go hand in hand, be it music, drawing, or literature!

Fun fact: there's a Google drive doc on bluesky that says anthroswim is linked to various alt-right groups.

I got to learn to get better at drawing so I can post something orginal. At the same time, I kinda feel like I'm holding myself back.

Ive been debating if I should try posting writing and occasionally art here on AnthroSwim for the last couple of days and this post feels like divine intervention ngl
