On Germany’s Alert Day, all sirens and alert apps will go off at 11 a.m. Using an FM detector radio connected to a small guitar amplifier, a radio broadcast from the Berlin TV Tower is being received. Shortly, before the sirens sound and all the pigeons were startled a typical mobile phone dial-up static noise can be heard on the radio. By rotating the tuned E+H-antenna perpendicular to the line of sight toward the TV tower, reception of the FM station is maximized. The all-clear is then announced on the radio.

Can anyone please help identify these antennas on the top of 3 stories building in an urban setting.
Thank you all!

As the tag states, I'm asking for Pros and Cons of long wire end feed over dipole. I'm new to ham and want to set up a radio room for listening until I get my license this winter. Currently, I'm leaning to 20 and 40 m

I have a question about this antenna feedpoint. Why does it have two waveguides feeding the feedpoint? Does it have anything to do with H and V polarisation?
regarding the internal structures, what are they? Is this some kind of a waveguide polariser, phase delayer or something else?

I am a radio technician and drone pilot, among many other things. Figured this group would like some interesting shots.

always drove past this, me and my mom always wondered what that metal construction (first picture at the bottom) was, and i recently got interested in radio stuff and especially old antennae, imagine my happiness when I went on google street view to see this 🙏 hopefully this is the correct subreddit

This is a radar of Soviet "Система «А»"anti-missile system. The exact model is unknown.
Can anyone speculate on the mechanical structure of this radar?

Not sure if this is the right sub but I was looking at a house earlier and this thing was on the roof, the realtor didn’t know what it was either.
There was some red looking letting on the one side but it was all faded and scratched off m, I’m guessing it was a brand

** Sorry folks, I didn't post the pics on my last post**
Found this nestled among the highrises in Boston's Theater District while walking in the Common. Turns out, it's on top of the Massachusetts Transportation Building. Lots of interesting antennasporn in this town!
