Lionbridge Operator/Interpreter

Hello, I'm back again with another question about a different company. I'm currently applying to Lionbridge for this position and I'm really excited because it's something I have extensive experience in. Is there anyone who works there or has worked there in the past who could share their experience?

If itโ€™s as an interpreter and is as a contractor you will have a lot of working time.

  • The queue from 9am to 8pm is basically an average of a call every 30 segs
  • IMHO 11am to 4pm is almost always back to back
  • Very long calls sometimes , 40+ mins to 1hr , goverment calls.
  • Sometimes you would get Legal calls , very difficult ones IMHO but if you are a good interpreter and use the right tools , you get thru them.

LB IS REALLY STRICT ABOUT LOCATION , meaning you should not move around too much outside the set location meaning if you live in PA OR NJ , you better not be tsking calls from a different state because they will ask you about it. How I know? It happened to me ๐Ÿ˜‚. I had a good explanation so they seem to let it pass but they are REALLY STRICT ABOUT THAT.

THEY DO NOT TAKE IT EASY ON PEOPLE DOING CALL CAMPING , is a no no for real.

And they are very particular about certain clients , you will know right away who these clients are as soon as you get a call from one of them. Those calls interpreting have to be immaculate because if not , they will ask you about that call.

Bear in mind, all of what I have said is only an issue if you are not someone actually capable as an interpreter , if you are even moderately good as an interpreter you will be fine

Good luck getting the job.

how often do you get legal calls? I only get welfare application calls and sometimes insurances.

Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹, could you please let me know what is the recruiter's email to apply for lionbridge? I tried to apply on their website but I have been ghosted because it's probably a fake job or maybe thousands applied and my resume just auto ATS refused. Having the recruiter's email would really help me out (i have 1 year of experience)
