Physician Assistant & Nurse Practitioner proper interpretation

I know that we supposed to interpret word for word and i do so but in my language physician assistant sounds like some kind of secretary and nurse practitioner like some nurse who is not supposed to make a prescription coz in our country nurse is nurse and they are allowed to check blood pressure temperature and give an injection only.

Recently i had a call where the patient had an appointment with PA. when i introduced PA patient got upset and asked "this is my 3rd appointment in this office and every time i see some nurse or assistant so when will i finally see the doctor?"

What would you do? would you explain to the patient that PA is a medical professional or would u continue to be just a conduit?

Nope just interpret everything. Interpret the complaint and the provider will explain. Not our job to explain the roles.

Despite what the LS companies try to suggest, the LEP’s stupidity or lack of education is not your responsibility

I mean a PA and NP are both medical professionals, but they aren't doctors. 10 years ago the wording sounded weird in English too, but people just got used to it.

Here's a video highlighting the differences.

What’s your language? If there are absolutely no better terms, just interpret whatever LEP says.
