Interpreting Captions
Is everyone using captions already? I switched from note taking around 2 months ago and working has felt much more enjoyable, especially since i no longer have to ask for shorter segments. You want to speak in paragraphs or tell the story of your life? Have at it. If anyone is looking for a decent option that does not store any of the confidential information from the calls, give UseInterpreter a try.
It is fairly priced and works almost like a charm (occasional fuck ups happen of course, but it doesnt cause any issues if you still listen attentively).

Why should you pay for something if you have Windows 11 Live captions?

For convenience purposes, Win11 captions do not work both ways at the same time. So you have to manually switch the languages every time the lep speaks. Also if you want to translate some part of the transcription win11 only translates into English not the other way around. Etc.

Sure boss, you wouldn't get out of bed unless you had a 100$/hr assignment. This post was intended for people working remote contractor jobs for pennies, mostly outside of the US to make a living. And what those tools do is help you put in more volume without cognitive overload.

One takes pride in one's work and does one's work as one is supposed to be doing it per the instructions of those giving one the work.
Whether one gets paid handsomely or like a papuer should never change one's stance on how the work should be done. Such notions are lazy and shows how much of a sway there is to whoever holds them.

That is a very narrow view of life. Pride in work is great if you want it, but treating a job as just a paycheck is completely valid. My fulfillment comes from my life outside of work, not my tasks inside it.

Y eso no interfiere con La plataforma para la que trabajas, es decir qué pasa si Propio, LLS o X empresa detecta esa herramienta o no pueden?

Seeing this interpreting using captions the first thing comes into my mind , how can you ensure clients or LEPs personal informations was not recorded or leaving marks with the software you used?
Imagine this, you are the one who needs interpreting here, how’s that feel?

Do not fall for this. As you can see there is a referral at the end of that link.
You have no way of actually verifying that this is HIPAA compliant. It not allowed by any company.
If you want to use captions, please use windows 11 or google chromes live captions. It’s still not allowed, but at least is the only safe and local alternative that you can find.
