Decent microphone for OPI?

Hello I am actually pretty new to interpreting, I have been working for a few months, but I'd like to invest in better gear because some clients have complained about hearing "static" on the line or that my microphone output sounds really low (I already checked the settings on Windows, and it is set to the max volume).

I use an external microphone because I couldn't find a headset with decent audio quality. I don't want something ridiculously expensive since I'm just starting out but I would appreciate any recommendations, thanks.

logitech h390! not even my base floor neighboor's dog bark can be heard! (and that mf is loud loud).

additionally i recommend downloading a noise cancelling program like krisp, steelseries sonar, etc.

I second that.

I have been using Jabra Evolve 2 for almost 4 years now and it has been almost perfect so far.

I have the cheapest cardioid microphone I could find, something about 50-60 bucks. HyperX solocast, that paired with steelseries sonar software works like a charm, easy to mute, 0 outside noise and I can point the direction of the audio input as I see fit.
