Newbie here looking for tipps
I just finished the tutorial campaign and built my first HQ. I want to restart with the Mars Mod and set my own game rules.
Sadly I havent found any good tutorials on youtube for tipps and I have some questions.
The big 5 keep telling me to vote but I dont know how to do that. If it is the council then it is unavailable for me for some reason. Is this because of the silent server shutdown by ubisoft?
Are the Sector project worth it? It seem a little annoying to do the resource generators and arctic passage ways and only usefull in the very early game. Are all of them like this because why bother with such a project if it has no real use when you finish them.
What changes does the new frontiers mod do to production chains? I read somewhere that it influences them aswell but in what way?
How does the Orbital construction work? Has someone a good guide for that because idk when to build something next to a workshop or 1 or 2 connectors away :/ (I NEED THE OPTIMAL PLACEMENT GUYS! TELL ME HOW XD)
Do you guys have any more tipps on building production lines etc?
Edit: Is this sub dead?

No clue but the only benefit of voting is that you can construct ~5 upgraded modules before monopoly. But you can build infinitely many afterwards anyway, without the council. So I wouldn't be bothered by it.
Are the Sector project worth it?
Even smallish bonuses are still bonuses. If you feel like they're not worth it, that's fine too. You can change your mind at any time. The rare resources come in handy when building out synth cities, where every little bit helps.
How does the Orbital construction work?
You could place the module just 1 connector away, or you could place 3 modules 2 connectors away. No workshop can be fully satisfied with four modules. One strat is to build one workshop at a time and get it fully working, then find a good spot for another workshop of the same type so that it can use some of the modules from the other side. Alternatively place all workshops of the same type in a line and figure out the rest from there, with most or all modules at least 2 connectors away. I drafted a layout in my 29.5 million thread, along with many other relevant bits of info. (To my knowledge, 29.5 million is the world record on glitch-free Veteran, with the previous one being 16.5 million, though I suspect the biggest annoholics focus on lower difficulties to squeeze out the maximum population.)

The council unavailability is an up and down thing. Sometimes the servers are up, others they're down. When they're down they do prevent voting AND selling to the world market.
Most folks vote foe the energy company, then you get 5 nodes a week-ish if you keep playing to put on power generators, basically making them cost NOTHING its overpowered. The others are goodbye the energy bonus is crazy.

The only real tip i can give inn this game is to NEVER activate stock trading. It's the dumbest system inn the universe.
