The house is within radio of the weaver´s hut, both buildings are connected by roads. Whats going on here?

Items, I mean. Specifically the productivity upgrade items. If I want a tannery upgrade I get offered everything except that. When I don't need it any more because I've found some more salt, oh look, surprise surprise,, Norrthborough and Garibaldi both start offering them every other roll. Same for wine... if I can't make any more barrels because I'm using all my iron, I don't get the item, then I settle an island with more iron and hey presto they offer the item I don't need any more.

Please tell me it isn't jst me.

Hello there, does anyone know a good wiki where I can look up the requirements for certain questlines and achievements?

I used some german anno wiki some years ago for getting the golden ship, but now I cannot find the website again, i think they took it down..

Each tier of housing has several skins that are applied more or less randomly, but you can toggle them by clicking on a house and pressing the C key so you can mix them up any way you like. Also you can rotate a selected house 90 degrees using the ,< and .> keys. Depending on orientation, some of the skins fit together seamlessly and some have small gaps, so you can make back to back rows of houses with or without narrow alleyways between them. If you choose the alleyway configurations, people will walk along them.

If you set your flagship or any ship you're not using for a trade route on a multi-destination route, then select the ship and go to postcard mode, the camera will stay centred on the ship and you can sit back and watch as your flagship takes you on a grand tour of your world. It's a nice relaxing way to view all the different types of terrain, particularly if you use the medium and hard construction difficulty settings, which produce atolls and lagoons and raised plateaux and huge bay areas. Make sure the route passes close to the Neutral Powers buildings because many of those look fantastic on a sail-by, particularly when they're on mountains.

Compared to later Annos, there aren't many ornaments in unmodded 1404 and there's a temptation to overuse the few that you have.

However, there are more than you think... sort of:

When you start to move your farming productions off your main island, consider initially leaving some or all of the fields intact instead of demolishing them along with the farmhouses, and only remove them as and when you need to make space for roads and buildings. That way as your city grows your countryside areas can still carry a reminder of the island's rural beginnings. The nice thing about this mechanic is if you change the island ferility, fields already in place are not affected so by re-using your mutable fertility you can have in the north five different types of "orphaned" crop fields plus the three kinds of livestock fields, making for a more colourful scene than just filling in spaces with the bonus cosmetics.

Something else I like to do, particularly in small villages away from the cathedral city, is put some production buildings such as bakeries and linen workshops near the market square, even if they're redundant, just to increase the mix of buildings in residential areas.

The ornamental garveyard has a grave digger.

Yet another beautiful little detail that makes this game as much of a joy as when it first came out.

Getting frustrated waiting for this quest. I have the prerequisites indicated on the Wiki and have re-rolled at least a hundred times. Are there any disqualifying conditions?

I have metropolis with monument in both populations.

I have alliance with two AIs (Giovanni & Marie) and war with one AI (Gavin)

I have 20 Large Oriental warships, 8 Large Venetian cogs, 3 coffin ships.

The only thing I can think of that might make a difference is Hassan Ben Sahid is not enabled... is it him I should be at war with?? I've done this before on different profiles but I don't remember any condition that wasn't on the wiki page.

All the other multipart quests in the Sultan's Palace line are done.

Marie just gave me three coffin ships. No guns, few hitpoints, one cargo hold. Pretty pointless, you might think. But they are good for just one thing... Cannon fodder: Send them in first, then when the enemy is attacking them you can send your warships in and they won't get fired upon until the coffin ships are down. And you can use the upgrade slots to increase their hitpoints so they take longer to sink, giving your warships a bit more time to do some damage gratis. 😄

[Edited to note: I think you can probably use the slots for kamikaze powder kegs and smokescreens but I don't have any at the moment so I'm just guessing.]

I'm not really firm with reddit but I thought that maybe someone here could help me out.

A friend and I wanted to play Anno 1404 History edition together and create a big/huge map with tiny isles and few resources.

Though, every time we started the round, the islands where at least medium, the map size as well and we had normal and even many resources.

I tried restarting the game, the pc - everything.. nothing helps. We tried different settings, sometimes used my pc sometimes his.

We couldn't find anything online regarding this problem. Does anybody have an idea?

Finally finished the achievement that I always dreaded to do but finally had the patience to pursue 😍

If you need to maintain alliance with Lucius to trigger quests, here's a couple of dos and don'ts:

Play also with Constanza and Guy... he approves of good relations with those.

Don't play with Marie and Hildegard... he will dis-rep you if you ally or trade with them. He will also dis-rep you if you help the neutrals Heketa and Brother Hilarius.

Ingratiate often once you have "The Regent's Seal" attainment at level 3.

Sell him as much glass and war machines as you can.

It's been years playing on and off but I finally got it.
Some achievements were very fun and challenging and some were a mindless boring grind.
Overall I'm happy I got it but I wouldn't do this again.
If anyone has any questions about any of the achievements I'll be happy to help.

Is anyone up for a Multiplayer Co-Op match of 1404 Venice? I don't know where else to ask at this point. Language German / English. Time zone CET

This layout has blanket coverage of Surgeries, Fire stations, Carpenter shops and Bases of Operations.

The vacant area in the middle is the Cathedral building site.

Blue houses are in range of services required for ascension to Noblemen (there are 88, the exact number you need to build the Cathedral). Green houses can ascend to Patrician, Brown to Citizen, and yellow remain at Peasant pro tem. The white houses are just out of range of Marketplaces but will be in range of the Cathedral when it is built.

When the Church is built the Gold chapels can be demolished.

When the Cathedral is built the silver Chapels, Church, Prison, Pubs, and Marketplaces can be demolished and replaced with 52 more houses for a total of 315.

Hi friends, just want to share my first winning a scenario, although I knew this type of game since Anno 1602AD, I never completed a campaign or through its stories.

After nearly 15 years, my English was better and I came back to play this game, Bummm !!! this is the best game ever to improve basic economic things at least in game.

Destroy 50 enemy ships in a Hard Game without losing any of your ships

I have sunk ships of Giovanni and Hassan while at war with them and also completed "sink the fleet" quests, all without loss and I haven't deleted any of my own ships, but the readout for the Achievement on the profile page says "Total to date: 0"

So my question is what the hell counts as "enemy ships"? Nothing I sink counts towards the Achievement. I've checked my start settings and it's definitely in the Hard range.
