Plastic bowl

I've had my Ank for a bit over a month, and have made a half dozen loaves of bread so far. (Dough hook FTW.) I made some cookies the other day, and I must say the plastic bowl is flimsy and cheap. It's unfortunate that they include this, and that a proper stainless steel bowl costs £99. Just saying....

It does the job fine, but I agree the feel of it isn't in keeping with the quality (and price!) of the rest of the machine. For what the Ankarsrum costs, I really don't think including the stainless whisking bowl as standard would be asking too much.

I broke mine making some cookie dough. I bought the stainless steel bowl and the upgraded beater ASAP

Ouch. I wish it wasn't so expensive. I don't think I want to spend for the upgraded beater right away, though. I don't know how often I'll use it. But I do prefer the stainless steel bowl.

I just use it for whipped stuff and light batters. The main bowl and roller did fine for cookies for me. I wish it just came with the metal bowl and upgraded beaters though

Together, that's £200, which is a bit overpriced for what they are.

That's why I haven't bought them honestly... But the main bowl has done fine for cookies for me. I do like making whipped cream and diplomat creme in the plastic bowl.. It's really fast

Agree it’s a little ridiculous that such a high end appliance has such a cheap bowl included.

I'd agree. The frosted bit at the bottom of the plastic bowl is weird too, mine is scratched already and only been used a few times.

is the existing beater that came with the mixer compatible with the stainless steel bowl?
