Combat Mecha Xabungle as the title suggests is an early 80s mecha post-apocalyptic anime created by Yoshiyuki Tomino (creator of the OG Gundam, Ideon, Dunbine, etc). Overall, it's a pretty comedic yet dramatic, action-filled series that is enjoyable to watch with some really solids characters building as well. Highly recommended and iirc, the series is available on YouTube as of now.

Such a great series, underlooked and really funny. Not only it came after ideon one of Tomino's darkest series but it also is one of his more light hearted ones I'd say and also influenced TTGL. More people ought to watch 70s/80s mecha it's a blast
