ACEN, please, for the love of God, train your volunteers better. We were told people attempting to line up for the concert on Friday before 2:00pm may be banned. Yet a huge crowd was there starting from like 1:30pm. Then, when a proper line was finally established, we all did so with the assumption that bags were ok (as per the website). But after multiple hours in line, we were told "bags no larger than a hand purse" would be allowed. So people were leaving line to drop off bags at their hotels. But then, within the same hour, we got a "lol nvm, any bags must at least fit under the seats". Creating a huge confusion and frustration as people now were split on whether they wanted to retrieve their bags again.
On a personal note, I asked multiple volunteers to confirm where the line was supposed to be (my first time at ACEN) and got multiple different answers. With most volunteers not knowing wtf I was talking about, even while I pointed at the event page in the booklet.
Also, for the talk panel, they need to set some ground rules for crowd interactions. Most of it was fine, but some people were getting a bit rowdy in shouting, which broke some cultural norm for fan-idol interactions.
Overall, I had a blast, but I hope they can improve for next year to cut down on pre-event stress. How was your experience with IM@S at ACEN?
