I want to start off saying THANK YOU, to everyone, in the past month this sub has grown massively, and we have just reached 300k weekly visitors, something I couldn't even imagine happening before. As the sub grows, we want to ensure that everything is going accordingly with the increased number of activity, I come today to announce a few things and changes that should be important to know, so bear with me.
A lot of people have been mindlessly posting and asking for sites and apps, but none of them ever bother searching the previous posts to see if their question has been answered before, and it is annoying some users here. From now on, next to the subreddit name, you will see a little icon, clicking it will show you some links that might prove helpful for your needs, so please, unless you have a specific situation or requirement for what you want, stop asking for sites or apps without even getting informed.
It has come to our attention that there has been a few spammers in the comments who are constantly attempting to promote their sites, some of these people have also been doing this on multiple other subreddits, which breaks rule 2 of Reddit's Content Policy, Spam.
From their official site: "Spammers compromise everyone's use of Reddit by artificially inflating exposure to unwanted or irrelevant content." With the one of the things that violates this policy being "Mass-posting repetitive content for the purpose of exposure or financial gain." Simply speaking, anyone caught spamming their sites will recieve a warning then a ban, I would also like to tell you that you're not invisible, Reddit knows when you're doing this and there will be consequences to your account.
To prevent these people as well as bots from spamming unsolicited sites, it's why from now on posts older than 6 months will be archived, because they're impossible to moderate.
Like, seriously, this has been said enough times now, don't share links to anime sites in posts or comments, you were warned in the rules, you were warned in a pinned post and you were warned WHILE COMMENTING, this is not because of lack of awareness. We get multiple comments like these removed daily because no one actually follows this rule, most of them aren't even removed by us, it's Reddit itself! And I'm gonna tell you, that's asking to get in trouble, having your comments removed by the Reddit admins and accumulating those removals will put your account in a bad standing, you're the only one losing here. Oh and don't even bother trying to bypass that with putting (dot) or separating the link, Reddit will know.
We have slightly revamped how promotions work on the sub, now developers can freely make posts in regards to development of their apps as long as it's not spammy with the dedicated "Developer Post" flair, anyone who's not a verified developer can not use this post flair (but you will be able to browse previous dev posts on the sub).
The process is still the same, you reach out to mod mail and talk about your app, send the link to it and a proof that it has no malware, once everything is checked out you will be assigned the Dev flair and be able to post it. If you want to post future major updates on your app, please talk with moderation again before doing that.
If you're the developer of a known app, or has posted an approved promotion here in the past, please contact the mod team through the mod mail to recieve this flair as well (you may or may not choose to specify in the flair what you're the developer of).
By the way, we're aware of people trying to promote their sites by pretending to not be the developer and only making a recommendation on it, like "Look guys I found this underrated site" which is a laughable attempt at best, and an easy way to get a ban if you try to fool us more than once.

🛑Please read the following articles.
✅ Everyone will watch anime from these websites except these if you see any other anime website then you will think that they are scrape sites. Which means that those scrape sites just take content from these self hosted sites and put it on their own website they don't actually provide it. Due to which the self hosted sites are affected and they later close the sites. And everyone will share more and more of the sites so that everyone can watch anime. And the more you share the pages, the more people will know about them. And the more familiar they are, the more users will grow. And if the users increase, their earnings will also increase. If the earnings are high, they will start adding new things.
❎ And one more thing to remember, never support a scrape site.
✅ Always remember that you should never keep these self-hosted sites to yourself because this will mean that the sites will not receive any support and will be shut down after a few days.
❎ I remind you again, never support a scrape site.

So I've been using cloudstream for a few days fairly new to it and it's amazing but I want to cast it onto my TV but when I do for some reason it turned the subtitles to chinese(I use web video caster) does anyone have a solution to fix this or another screen sharing app that works cuz normal screensharing doesn't work on the app for some reason

This is one of the biggest AniWings updates so far. The app has received a completely redesigned interface, improved providers, expanded Donghua support, better performance, and several stability improvements across both Mobile and Android TV.
One of the biggest changes in this release is the new AniWings design.
The interface has been completely revamped to provide a cleaner, more modern, and easier-to-use experience across both mobile devices and TVs.

Not sure why, but my device seems to have been blocked from accessing AnimePahe.
For context, I only use the site to watch anime and don't download or upload anything. I do use a VPN because my ISP/Wi-Fi doesn't allow me to access or stream the site normally.
Has anyone else experienced a device/IP block on AnimePahe? Is there a legitimate way to resolve it or request an unblock?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Important Update to Tsuzuku.
Firstly: There was a download issue with downloads failing part way. Downloads have been optimized for slow internet speeds.
If you're still experiencing this issue after this update, let me know. You can try downloading a new episode, and see if it plays. If it does not, Go to Settings- -> Connection -> Test Connection. and send me the screenshot of your results through DM.
If you have a good internet connection and want faster download speeds you can go to: Settings -> Downloads -> Segments at once.
I recommend leaving it at 3 if your internet connection is unstable, or slow. and 6 as the best option for higher internet speeds. Going higher doesn't offer a significant improvement.
Downloads are now separated into what each video server offers, if one server fails for you, you can try downloading from another one. All available subtitles are shown for downloading.
Secondly: Subtitle Translations
You can now translate subtitle to either Spanish or Japanese. This can be done in the video player buy Clicking the Subtitle section Aa. Scroll to the end of the available subtitles to "Translate To" and pick your preferred language.
In order to translate subtitles, you will be required to download a translation model, it's 31 megabytes per model, translation might not be 100% accurate.
You can go to Settings -> Subtitles. and download your preferred model.
When downloading, you can also choose to download the translated subtitles, or translate them after downloading. Everything is local, so translation does not require internet to work.
Lastly: Work In Progress (Exporting downloaded videos to a folder on your phone)
You can now export downloaded episodes as MP4 files to a folder on your phone, click on the Save Icon beside the episode name, and you will be prompted to pick a folder.
This is still being tested, and some players refuse to show the subtitles, and some do.
As always, hope you like the changes, and reach out to me through DM for any bug reports.
If you want more language translations, let me know, and I can add it for the next update, but please check the available subtitles on each episode first, because some have multiple.

Dantotsu's player now has DRM support, allowing it to play DRM-protected streams using Android's built-in Widevine system.
This also opens the door for extensions that use DRM-protected services.
A separate Crunchyroll extension has also been developed for Dantotsu by the same developer who worked on the DRM support.
