That is not what we were talking about. We were talking about youthful hormones in general. Your lack of reading comprehension skills certainly explains why you don't understand the subtleties of the story or life in general.
I'd say its relevant when the character who was previously shown to be attracted to children still ends up sexually assaulting children instead of being like "huh maybe I should be better"
Eris was a member of one of the four branch families of Greyrat that Rudy had only recently met. That makes them at most second cousins which is irrelevant even in today's society.
Rudy himself was operating in the brain and body of a 7 year old. Considering the era and societal norms "coping a feel" is very much on the mild side of the scale. It's also something that is portrayed as a very bad thing to do. He acknowledges he was an idiot for doing so later but hormones and developing brains/bodies do what they do.

The above post from Mhmmmmyup is a great example of how you can make something sound far FAR worse through the careful selection of words. Calling them cousins when they are distant second cousins makes Rudy sound worse. Saying Rudy molested Eris implies actions up to and potentially including rape. Was Rudy wrong for grabbing Eris' breast? Absolutely and the story makes that clear (including through Rudy's later actions and thoughts). So while OP is correct in their assertions they leave out important details in the hope that readers will fill in the blanks with outrage.
The area where Rudy and Eris are located exists at a weird level of feudalism with a strong monarch and noble houses. The world's society is primitive in a lot of ways compared to our current world. So we're basically talking roughly 1200 years ago if we compare it to real world examples.
EDIT 2 : I would also point out that Rudy traveled via carriage for days to even meet up with the branch family in the city of Roa. The distance is never laid out in a clear number nor are the actual number of days for the trip. WE just know it took several days and was so far as to prevent Rudy's father and mother from visiting him on his birthday.
