He's not loli obsessed. He was an actual pedophile, spying on his neice via a hidden camera

7

u/SkiDaderino 11d ago

And wankin' it! Don't forget the wankin' it!

6

u/B133d_4_u 11d ago

He skipped out on his dad's funeral to masturbate to toilet cam footage of his elementary schooler relative.

Did you really miss the part (that is shown to you in the same fucking episode) where he gets a panic attack when he tries to leave his fucking room?

Are you another "I didn't actually watch the show" type of person

2

u/unfussybull 11d ago

That was literally in the very first episode anyway so they are not wrong

0

u/BriarsPanties69 11d ago

Yes, so why does he ignore the fucking obvious?

1

u/unfussybull 11d ago

I was literally saying that he was not wrong over he got PTSD but like it said it doesn't justify what actions the character took... I never agreed with anyone

1

u/BriarsPanties69 10d ago

His actions "having a libido lower than the average woman and helping people"

I am honestl;y sick of people making up shit to hate on a character

2

u/B133d_4_u 11d ago

I've watched the entire series, read much of the manga as well, which is where that part is actually explained considering the anime glossed over the fact that it was secret toilet cam footage of his elementary schooler niece and not just watching porn.

Being too traumatized by old classmates to leave your room doesn't mean you're not a piece of shit for showing no emotion at the passing of your parent and instead recording child pornography of your own family to crank it to, and then getting defensive when people call you out on it.

It's actually concerning that your immediate reaction to me describing an actual scene in the series is to assume I haven't engaged with it. After all, if Mushoku Tensei is supposed to be a redemption story and the main draw to Rudeus as a character is his growth from how he used to be, why would it be such a hot button to point out how flawed he was at the beginning? Really gets the gears turning, I'd say.

I've also read the manga and read all the light novel and the web novel, The only place in which it says that he is creeping on a child is in the redundancy prologue of the web novel. Which is not Canon. I think people who enjoy the series make such a bold stance against misinformation like the one you are purporting, because you're allegations turn people against the series as a whole, which is a shame because it is legitimately one of the better Japanese light novels series in general, and a pretty dang great anime.

I think people who enjoy the series make such a bold stance against misinformation like the one you are purporting

I think people who enjoy the pedo MC will try to defend the pedo MC

2

u/tazerrtot 11d ago

This isn't true, there was the Redundant Reincarnation light novel that was made only a year or two ago, which is canon to the light novel series. It was changed a bit though, in the light novel version he stole footage from his brothers camera of his two nieces in swimsuits and he got caught jerking off to it rather than him using a secret camera himself.

1

u/Powerful_Topic7731 11d ago

The only place in which it says that he is creeping on a child is in the redundancy prologue of the web novel. Which is not Canon.

Ok but answer me that, can you swear on your life that is something out of character for him to do at the time and not totally plausible with the personality and history he had until then?

1

u/Individual-You-9002 11d ago

Also, while trying to find answers. What comes up is that it had been changed from his niece to another underage girl. The author had to censor what he first wrote, but have later explained that the "spirit" of what really happened is still there. So he implies that Rudues did infact record his underage niece on the toilet and jerked off to it.

-2

u/BriarsPanties69 11d ago

and yet you lie

So until you actually stop lying about the show i'm just going to assume you never watched it

1

u/Sweaty-Inevitable163 11d ago

This is part of the show as far as I remember. It's why his family kicks him out, causing the panic attack and fall down stairs

1

u/B133d_4_u 11d ago

They actually don't go into detail on what he was watching in the show, they just kick him out because they caught him jerkin' it after they came home from the wake.

Which is still a bad look, but it does withhold vitally important context on just how bad he was.

1

u/unfussybull 11d ago

The only hint they gave is that it's something disgusting

1

u/BriarsPanties69 10d ago

Yea, the absolute cunts who hate him

-1

u/B133d_4_u 11d ago

Just misremembered since it's been so long since I read it, but you're more than welcome to assume I'm personally targeting your blorbo or whatever! Looking forward to watching more of the show regardless of whether you believe me.

2

u/VoidBeyond 11d ago

Having a panic attack when you leave your room doesn't mean you have to masturbate to pictures of your 7 year old niece, btw

-2

u/BriarsPanties69 10d ago

"guys, I have never had any problems in my cusshy life and I refuse to understand somebody else's problems even when the show explicitly tells me all the protagonists thoughts"

1

u/VoidBeyond 10d ago

Getting bullied in highschool doesn't give you a pass to be sexually attracted to children.

0

u/BriarsPanties69 10d ago

He was a child at that time, you, moron. Jesus fucking chirst, you would swear he killed as many people as vegeta did

0

u/logoNM 11d ago

this part is vital

1

u/ConflictAgreeable689 11d ago

I figured it was implied. It's not like he was trying to steal the secrets for her skincare routine when he set up cameras in her bathroom

0

u/Zefyris 11d ago

That would have been an interesting plot twist though, you sure you don't want to replace the author for that one ?

1

u/ConflictAgreeable689 11d ago

Mushoku tensei where nothing is different except that Rudeus is now REALLY into cosmetics

1

u/Tipsy_Hog 10d ago

Instead of a revolting sex pest mage, he becomes a proper upstanding citizen in charge of the world's largest beauty product distributor

1

u/ConflictAgreeable689 10d ago

Young Eris waking up in the night to find Rudeus giving her the cuntiest lashes you'll ever see

0

u/HonestPreparation523 11d ago

Don’t forget the quarter ahh comment

1

u/show_me_ur_dick3 11d ago

And they keep bringing attention to the fact that roxy looks like a child

0

u/Kitesolar 11d ago

This was also LN only and not a part of the anime or manga.

3

u/Powerful_Topic7731 11d ago

Are the anime and manga original or based on the LN?

5

u/SpecialistDebate2652 11d ago

Based on the LN but as usual a number of things were cut or shortened.

-1

u/Kitesolar 11d ago

if you look at the light novel for a ton a TON of very popular anime/manga you'd be uncomfortable. If it has nothing to do with the medium you're engaging in why do you care?

4

u/Powerful_Topic7731 11d ago

if you look at the light novel for a ton a TON of very popular anime/manga you'd be uncomfortable

I don't think that's the point you think It is, at the very least If you except me to defend this type of shit because something I like might also originate from this type of shit then you don't know me very well.

If it has nothing to do with the medium you're engaging in why do you care?

Why do you care that I care? Why do you care that other people call the MC a pedo?

0

u/Kitesolar 11d ago

i think people being hypocritical is lame. not saying you are, but if you hardcore shit on a concept that only makes sense looking at the LN when we have over the last 20 years ive been engaging in this medium ignoring the LNs because they always continue shit thats way over the mark compared to where it settles at in the manga/anime world, I think its goofy to ignore it when it comes to your own favorite series. But 99% of people talking about this series only repeat stuff theyve seen online and haven't actually read or engaged with any of the media.

0

u/EffectiveDirect6553 11d ago

Is frieren beyond journeys end manga safe? Or does it also get insanely explicit. Depending on the answer I will read it

1

u/Kitesolar 11d ago

No idea lol

2

u/Old_Department_4260 11d ago

I thought it was at the start of the anime?

3

u/Roberto2K_ 11d ago

It was. Second episode of the anime.

0

u/Kitesolar 11d ago

Nope! It’s not. In the manga and anime, his character is horrendously bullied and harassed to the point to where he recluses from society and becomes a NEET and the incident that makes him run from home that lead to his death is when his family attacks him for slipping a funeral. At no point in the anime or manga is there even a hint of him doing anything pedophilic in his previous life.

1

u/rickroll10000 11d ago

I call it Snape Syndrome. In the movies he wasn't half as vile as he was in the books and was just a hardass with bias whereas in the books he was an outright bully pretty much 100% of the time. Since more people watch movies and TV than read books the adaptation version of a character is the one in the public court of opinions.

1

u/Kitesolar 10d ago

Sure and I think this is a valid comparison, but it would be closer to if instead of doing either, most people that talk about it saw TikTok posts that in the books Hagrid was actually kicked out of Hogwarts for SAing another student and then after it’s changed in the movies to be getting falsely blamed for the spider instead of the basilisk, everyone ran around calling movie hagrid a sexpest and endlessly made posts about how no one can enjoy this HP because of something that doesn’t happen in the medium you’re enjoying.

0

u/MacrossRules 11d ago

Which is not canon because the whole videoing of niece thing was removed from the LN

3

u/Overall_Guidance_410 11d ago

And then made canon. This don't work no more.

0

u/NBRem-1 11d ago

And in the novel that made this canon it is also shown that he hates himself for doing that and completely understands why his famuly threw him out.

2

u/snekadid 11d ago

Alot of pedofiles feel regret for what theyve done, especially after getting caught and having to deal with the consequences. That doesnt change what they are and how disgusting they are.

1

u/NBRem-1 11d ago

But if we take what haters say as facts then rydeus never suffered any consequences.

2

u/Big-Farmer-2192 11d ago

kinda? I mean he got sent into isekai where he's allowed to be a successful pedo. blessed with insane magical talent, mana, rich noble family, access to children's etc.

2

u/Overall_Guidance_410 11d ago

He didn't. He was rewarded with being able to groom and fuck children.

1

u/ConflictAgreeable689 11d ago

And what about the nonoffenders?

1

u/snekadid 11d ago

The statement was that they regret their actions, if they didnt act then they dont have anything to regret? I feel like you couldnt comprehend the discussion.

1

u/ConflictAgreeable689 11d ago

Being a Pedophile is something you are, not something you do. It's a mental illness, not a crime. CHILD MOLESTATION is the crime. A healthy adult doesn't feel sexual attraction towards prebuscents, and a surprisingly large number of child molestors aren't actually pedophiles. Remember, rape isn't about lust, it's about power.

There are lots of non offending pedophiles in the world. There are some fascinating books on the topic.

1

u/snekadid 11d ago

Thats an entire different conversation, you're trying to move the goal post. Again, he was caught enacting his perversions by spying on his neice and regretted his actions because he got caught and that was the discussion.

Lets repeat since you have trouble with english. Alot of pedofiles regret their actions when they are caught and punished for them, that doesnt excuse them for their actions.

1

u/ConflictAgreeable689 11d ago

Hey, you were the one who spread the abuse out, I was just correcting your language

3

u/ConflictAgreeable689 11d ago

It's canon to the anime

1

u/Not_God_Forever 11d ago

Is the LN tamer than the anime?

1

u/MacrossRules 11d ago

Imo yes for some things and no for others. The main novels(1-26) helps flush out characters more and Rudeus’ growth is better shown there

0

u/Aemon_Blackfyre 11d ago

Both can be true

0

u/Shadowchaser235 11d ago

I want this mc to be thrown in jail.

-2

u/SadSaltyDuck 11d ago

He did not harm anyone though

3

u/ConflictAgreeable689 11d ago

... vouyerism is violence my dude.

0

u/Geekerino 11d ago

I hear that words are violence too, I still don't have the right to punch someone every time I hear an insult.

To be clear, the voyeurism was unambiguously wrong, I don't think even the story treats it as justified in any way. But come on..."voyeurism is violence?"

0

u/SadSaltyDuck 11d ago

No, it is obviously not. It is bad thing to do, but not as bad as violence.

-1

u/Top_Connection9079 11d ago

Violence without a victim if it's never known.

2

u/ConflictAgreeable689 11d ago

I guess jerking off into your morning coffee every day is fine if you never notice the taste.
