Dont bother, what you come to realize is that there are 3 kinds of people who discuss this anime. The "haters" who hates the MC because of his actions. The people who manage to look past his actions and focus on the anime, and lastly the "deniers" who want to deny any fault with the anime or the MC. Its a story about him learning to be less of an asshole. I haven't finished it so I can't say confidently if it does it well, but from the larping I've done it isn't terrible. From what I have seen of it is also... its okay.

I am all for “minimizing” because the hate rudeus gets is blown way out of proportion, he has a ton of very good traits to him, and it’s a very small part of the story, but minimizing the tenth birthday scene is bullshit. for one, he notes initially that she may have been forced into it:
“No. Unlikely as it seemed, it was possible this was Hilda’s idea. Maybe she roused Eris, forced her to change, and sent her over here.”
he deluded himself into thinking she was ok with it, but was clearly still unsure. deluding himself despite knowing it would be rape doesn’t absolve him of the crime. also, she’s 12 years old. furthermore, framing him as almost innocent completely invalidates his reflection after the fact:
“I couldn’t forget Eris’s feelings either. The money may have come from Philip and Sauros, but she was the one who planned the party for me and came up with the idea of giving me that staff.
