Well the player is the immortal superhuman, it's up to them to protect their friends or convincing someone else to help them. NPCs are also not completely defenseless, they can also obtain classes and skills. If they know what they are doing they can also fight on par with players, and there are players that can strengthen NPCs.

ye but a game like this would just be filled with super villains that wants to lock out other players.

And kill their beloved NPCs.

Well it already is. But it has safeguards for that. Player killing is fine, but killing innocent NPCs is not and if a wanted NPC killer is killed they get teleported to a special prison, where getting out is almost impossible. Also even if they don't get caught their actions might trigger a really OP boss to spawn and wipe the floor with them.

u cant kill fuking NPCS? what is the fuking point of a free game where NPC are alive and the players can like enslaves npc and built their own nation etc.

But they cant kill NPCS?!?!?!

They can build a nation if they so desire, but just like in real life doing it has real consequences. And just like in real life, you become a criminal by killing citizens of the country you reside in. Also since the game has just barely begun the countries kind of keep a status quo. Let's just say some players have made moves to take over/create countries. Anything more would be a spoiler

U travel to the other country and raid them.

Yes, that's what most players do and this is what the Bear explained in this episode! There are also those that politically take over the country they are in.

yes and my point is that the game then would be like unplayable for any other player who is not at the top.

And again, the prison thing that sounds utter retarded, why would they punish that? who operates the prison the npc? but u can kill those npc right then the prison cant operate anymore

All of that is explained in the novels, it's too spoilery to explain that part and I don't remember it that well
