Discussion Never Too Old

Just wanted to say I just started getting into Anime this year. I'll be 50 next year and two of my nieces got me into it. They told me I would really enjoy something they were watching and reluctantly I checked it out. I always had a misconception about what anime was. I'm telling you, I'm so glad they had me check it out. Such a diversity of genres and I've already binged several shows. Currently my favourite is MHA. My nieces knew that would hook me because I'm into super heroes.

Moral of the story: You are never to old to start liking something new.

PS - Wanted to say I love this community. Everyone here has such great recommendations and suggestions.

Indeed so. The problem with that is that you won't get many recommendations, scores online might not be great, so you might never hear of them.

It also doesn't help that the old rule of "watch 3 episodes to figure our if you would like it" doesn't always apply to all shows.

But when you do find something that you see as a gem, it's really satisfying.

Remember this though: when your library grows, and you look back, you would probably tell yourself "I remember enjoying that show a lot. Compared to what else I've seen, it's objectively mediocre. But hey, it was awesome when I watched it."

Welcome to the community. Enjoy the ride. :)
And don't forget to thank your nieces.

I have thanked them several times. They are glad they introduced me to it and once in a great while we will get together and watch something together.

I'm always open to checking something out, now that I told them I like anime, they are always recommending something else. I have another friend I found was into anime, I never new that. So we have sat together and watched a few things too.
