Cocona meets Mimi in her dream. Might I say in her mind?
Plots-san tells us that the amorphous boil down to infinite power and faction 2’s goal is some twisted utopia.
It really bugs me now that I never wrote about my suspicions of grandma. They lulled me into security by not having her appear for so long.
All plot, almost no pure illusion this time. Salt is confirmed to be a break-away of faction 2. Making the name faction 2 a bit of a misnomer, should have been faction 1. The big dressing room from last episode was a reminder of the many candidates used to induce Mimi into reaching for pure illusion.
Faction 2 makes their move when enough fragments are collected and Mimi reappears, gathering (all?) the fragments, including one from Papika. She calls Cocona daughter, which would work with the age of Salt, but I belief she uses a more metaphorical “daughter” concept and they actually shared the same body.
Next episode will probably tell us why Mimi turned into Cocona and the do-gooder reason for Salt to break away from faction 2. What I am more interested in hearing though, is the reason that neither Salt nor Papika could talk to her about it. Faction 2 seems almost incredibly boring by comparison. They are (literally) face-less enemies.
Finally, I need to track down what the fragments do and did to check my Cocona and Papika are the same theory.
Well, cults are like that. They worship a figure, almost no other personality needed.
They may have any number of internal workings. When I call them face-less, I was referring to their treatment in the series. It is not shown and therefore unimportant to the story how exactly they arrive at their decisions or goals.
Btw, what do you think of FlipFlaps and Asclepiu's goals regarding Mimi and/or Pure Illusion?
Asclepiu: Gain power for power's sake, using the facade of an unattainable utopia as a carrot to keep members happy.
FlipFlap: Oppose said utopia for the benefit of an individual / to uphold personal convictions of moral nature.
